## Holy freaking cow, this book was STELLAR. The story was so captivating, I couldn't put it down. I've stayed up way too late to finish it and I'm not the least bit sorry that my alarm will be blaring at me in a few short hours. When I purchased this book I didn't really know what to expect with the hero being deaf, but it was handled perfectly. The hero was fabulous (although I wish authors wouldn't feel compelled to write every hero as a man-slut). I absolutely adored the heroine. Together these two had this amazingly intimate connection. And kudos to Tammy for writing a sexy-lite version as well that my nineteen year old can read. With 4 brothers and a lot of unanswered questions where they are concerned, I'm hoping for more books!! Well done Ms. Falkner.

The story starts out as all romances should really, with Kit coming into Logan’s tattoo shop for a tattoo. Getting spooked, Kit runs out but not before leaving behind her very intricate tattoo that she wanted. Instantly infatuated and feeling a connection, playboy Logan seeks Kit out in the wilds of New York and eventually finds her, playing the guitar and living on the streets.   What follows is one of the most magnificent pieces of NA I’ve read yet. As in real life, the characters have actual flaws. Logan is handsome as the day is long but is completely deaf. Kit, a mysterious girl who doesn’t want her history known, lives on the streets in squalor, saving money desperately for just a roof over her head at night or a warm supper. They both are insecure in themselves, love their families, and each have a fantastic artistic ability, whether that be through music or through actual artistry.    I think something else that surprised me was the pacing of the story and the overall feel. I enjoyed how it seemed to speed up, or it could totally be just me wanting to read and find out what was going on. Regardless I couldn’t stop turning the pages, dying to find out what was going on. The tension was delightful between the two characters and the sexual chemistry? Very very yummy indeed.

When is a cliffhanger NOT one? Although there is an anding, it isn't. It is a good read and I applaud the honor of the brothers. I enjoyed the book until I realized there was another story... I do not regret reading the story, but I am miffed by the extended ending...

“I've been locked in my own world for a really long time," he says. “I have an excuse to keep people away, because of my disability. And then I saw your tattoo..." I turn his wrist over and trace my finger across it. He shudders at my touch, closing his eyes tightly. "And I felt like maybe, just maybe, we were locked in our own little worlds and could let each other out.” This book was so awesome! Like really, really awesome. I can’t get over the characters or the plot. The moment that Kit and Logan meet is pretty perfect. Logan makes an ass out of himself and Kit races out of the tattoo parlor, but not without first giving Logan some payback. Leaving behind her drawing, Logan connects instantly with it. The author did a great job of creating this relationship between Kit and Logan. It is like they are in their own secret world, at least until the outside forces its way in. Kit is this runaway girl who gets all of her money from busking. Logan seems like this white knight (okay, maybe not at first) that swoops into her life and saves her. Yet she doesn’t worship the ground he walks on, instead she challenges him and his family. Kit’s personality is perfect for her character. She’s the right amount of feisty and loving. She might not trust Logan with her name, but she shows him all of the emotion she can.  “This girl will shred me. I already know she will. And I’m jumping in with everything I am anyway.” Logan is pretty freakin’ amazing. I’ll admit to falling in love with him a little! He just had that perfect mix of protective instinct and vulnerability and would make any girl melt into a puddle on the floor. I think I enjoyed the parts of the book from his personality the most, they were filled with so much emotion and it really made the book. I kept waiting to find a facet of Logan that I didn’t look but it never really happened.  For me, it was kind of crazy how quickly Logan and Kit clicked. It was like suddenly they went from strangers to this deep relationship. When this happens in a book the author has to take extreme care so the relationship between the characters isn’t perceived as fake. But Tammy Falkner does an amazing job of creating so much emotion that it works. I even liked how she had Kit realize how fast the relationship was moving because once again she made it that much more realistic. Overall this book was super super awesome. The characters are great. The storyline is great. The author is great. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone looking for a standalone or a series. I can pretty much guarantee that this will be a favorite in your library after you read it. It definitely is in mine, plus a book that I like to re-read on occasion. “He laughs with no sound. God, he's so handsome when he smiles. And when he's not smiling. And when he's sleeping. And when he's awake. And when he's breathing.”

Tall, Tatted, and Tempting has some really great aspects to the story. Logan, our hero is deaf. At first I was a little worried about this because it didn't really 'do it' for me another book I read with a deaf hero, but I really like how it was done in this book. I didn't have any problems connecting with Logan. I liked that he had a great strong protective streak to his nature and used it on Kit/Emily often. I liked Emily/Kit, she was okay. I can understand why she held back and had reservations about a relationship with Logan even though he was awesome. It wasn't just for made up drama reasons she had reason to be worried. While there is definitely tension in their relationship caused by the lack of knowledge it doesn't ever really hit an over the top level. Our heroine, Emily cannot read, it wasn't a major plot point of the story, but just seemed like a little bit of overkill, if you know what I mean. Eventually, it isn't really even a problem and the two learn to communicate with one another quickly. I think this is where my problems with this book started. I expected the communication thing, her not reading, him not hearing to be a big issue to their story. It isn't, they solve the problem rather quickly and I was fine with that, but it was how they did it. I don't really think this is a spoiler, but I know we all have different definitions of the term so I'm going to hide it. If you plan to read this story, skip the spoiler. It's not earth shattering, more of another Megan mini rant. Tall, Tatted, and Tempting was a cute love story. It never reached 'Oh my God good" levels, but I was enjoying myself while reading. And the ending totally broke my heart. The story line was kind of level and mellow for most of the book, but things definitely pick up in the end. It was so sad and heart warming at the same time. But it was also just a little bit too perfect. The story doesn't end on a cliffhanger per say, but there is more story to tell and more books in the series about this couple and other brothers as well. So, while Tall, Tatted, and Tempting was good and I'd recommend it for some nightly reading if you've had it on your list, it did not reach epic levels for me. But you also have to remember, I'm a hard rater and it takes a lot for a book to reach five star status for me. I'd definitely recommend it for a read if you like the story description.
