Bought this book because of the reviews but couldn't even finish and I'll read pretty much anything. Not sure what they read that I didn't. The story development was poor as well as the character development.

This was a very sweet and sexy read with a lot of humor. But definitely an adults only. Evie's home from college after getting her heartbroken by her boyfriend only to run into the man that she left. There's a lot of humor and drama in this one. Lots of high emotions. It really read like a soap opera. It was quite fun. I really liked Evie but she annoyed me at times with her back and forth on whether she should be with Romeo or not. He was the boy she left to try and have a better life. But she always has loved him. Ever since she was a kid. Romeo is a definite heartthrob. He's loved Evie even after all these years and her leaving him with no explanation. He only wants what's best for her even if it isn't him. But it's not to say he's not fighting to be with her. There was quite a bit of reference to the Filipino cultural and foods. Sometimes it got confusing but it was fun to learn more about their practices. Their very family oriented with I really love. Some of the funniest parts of the book had to do with Evie dealing with her overbearing family. It does have a HEA even if it took a bit to get to it. I really enjoyed this.

When you meet Evie and Romeo it will be hard to just one side and stick to it! Your heart will break for Romeo but you'll want to help Evie be happy. I loved getting to know these characters and was wanting more when the book was over!  I could relate to the feelings Evie was having, which helped me fall even further in love with this book! Romeo is a sexy singer/movie star and who wouldn't want to go have fun with him? Check out this book for a fun but emotional read!

Food and romance are two things that are near and dear to my heart. Its not often that I can find a book that marries these two together as smoothly as done here. Taming Romeo by Rachelle Ayala takes us through a Filipino American love story. Family plays a key role in Evie's dance of love.  Can Evie and Romeo overcome their past and their families expectations? Family ties are huge in the Filipino community, if you didn't already know know, you'll quickly see how important those ties are to both Evie and Romeo.  Do your self a favor, buy a copy of this, grab your favorite beverage and sit poolside for steamy afternoon delight!

I have read every single book that I can get my hands on by Rachelle Ayala and loved them. This one was no exception and was a lot stemier than I have ever read from her before. I have another book just waiting in the wings to be read by her and the review will be coming soon. There are authors that you are truly devoted to and will read anything by them and Rachelle is no exception to that. She falls right in my top authors list and I will never get tired of reading her works. Praise for the author is totally overshadowed these days as people read books and just judge away. Authors take time and write novels because they want us to experience something out of our normal realm and that is always how I feel when reading this author’s books. She teaches me things and makes me realize others that I would never have thought about before. I have read Broken Build, Knowing Vera, and Hidden Under Her Heart (all part of the Chance for Love series). Whole Latte Love is up next on my list and I can not wait to dive in! Okay, now on to the juicy stuff. This book is NOT meant for the younger generation. There is some steam along the way that I would put a caution up for just adult eyes. Evie and Romeo have their times where they have to get through sme rough patches, but what couple doesn’t? I loved that I got to learn about Pinoy culture through the family ties and how they stick together to get through even the worst of time. Ties are so thick that even at Evie’s age she follows her Dad’s rules. I am a couple years older and I have been on my own and living my own life for years. My parents have guided me but I have never felt like I had to do exactly what they said every single time. Maybe I should have? I was not let down by the romance that became between Evie and Romeo and I am not one for spoilers so you will have to just read it and become addicted just like I was. I could not put it down and I will praise Rachelle once again for really knowing what a reader is looking for when they pick up a certain genre of book. She will have you laughing, crying, thinking, and just overall FEELING. If I could give this more than FIVE stars, I would. If you have not read this author, what are you waiting for? I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.

Rachelle Ayala has written a great romance novel. What I love about this book, besides the romance, is the peek into another culture. The characters are Filipino. Now, don't get worried, this is not a book on the Filipino culture. It is a romance novel with some culture mixed in. The cultural aspect is not overpowering. I was hooked from the beginning of the book, and couldn't put it down. I read the entire book in about a day. The book is so realistic, except for maybe Romeo being a "movie star". The feelings and confusion that Evie faces are so real. I know I've kind of faced some of the same confusion in my life. My husband and I were good friends, and I had just gone through a rough break up right before we started dating. I wasn't sure at first if what I was feeling was real or just a rebound thing. I wanted him to be more than just a safety net or backup plan. I can say, after almost 25 years together, it was and is true love. I give this book 4 stars. There are a few adult situations that some parents may not be comfortable with their teenager reading. However, I don't think it is much different than other books that teenagers read these days. If you get a chance to read this one, please do. You will enjoy it. I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.

Rachelle Ayala seems to master every genre she attempts.  From Christian Fiction to Suspense to this steamy Romance, each of her books that I've read so far has been an edge of your seat page turner.   I love the way the author adds a generous helping of Filipino culture to her books.  Even though at times I was frustrated by the lack of communication by the characters, it made me realize that my own way of handling things is not universal.  The book also caused me to ponder what it's like for families of actors.  Do they, too, wonder whether their family member is "playing a role" at times?

Delightful Romantic Comedy - best ever for Rachelle Ayala Taming Romeo by Rachelle Ayala starts off with some great food sizzling away and Evie’s old friend Romeo is back! So here we have it, Romeo Garcia and his forty guests having a party at her parents’ restaurant. Her father remembers him as her friend and now, I am wondering how much does papa really know. Rachelle doesn’t make any reader wonder too long. It starts to get quite revealing immediately…And, Choco, Evie’s sister seems to get along with Romeo who agrees that Evie does those “disappearing acts”.  Okay, I’m already defending Evie – usually, normal women don’t do disappearing acts on great guys. So yes, I had to find out why. As I’m reading, the name Carlos comes in the picture – someone who has had a crush on Evie for the longest time. Oh yes, I hope that there is some rivalry – bring it on!  Well, I asked for it and I got it with Clicky Boy, it  is absolutely funny to read Romeo handle this… She’s mine?  At the Vegan Palace, Romeo watches her eat. And then, I wondered if all that excitement was really turning Evie into a wanton woman who is too sexually unrestrained? I guess, it would be hard to forget about a man like Romeo when it comes to “pleasure” – Romeo + Forever. I liked the part where there is talk of pregnancy. It was so cute. It gets even cuter when Evie gets a proposition she just couldn’t refuse. Imagine riding Romeo in a leather miniskirt – this is a must read! And, I love the end. Absolutely recommend it. Adriana LG

Taming Romeo captured me from the start, Evie was very indecisive, not very trusting, a failure in her eyes and even her family were a little mad with her. Romeo, wow to start with I thought he was arrogant but sexy. It seems he built some walls, as did Evie when she left him at Prom asking for no further contact. Five years past and they bump into each other again. Wow the heat between these too is immense, Romeo loves Evie it’s clear to tell, I think everyone knew apart from Evie. Their rendezvous were very hot and steamy. Evie loves him but is too afraid to let her guard down in case he does the same thing to her that she did all those years again. It is an emotional roller coaster that had me crying near the end. It was very well written and flowed at an even pace that kept me gripped. I have not read anything by Rachelle Ayala before but after reading this I will definitely be reading more of her books.

To say Evie and Romeo have unresolved feelings is an understatement! Ladies, BREAK out those fans because you will be simmering along with Evie as Romeo works his ‘bad boy’ magic. The author has created a story full of culture, rivalry, and a little sizzling romance… Ok! A LOT of sizzling romance! Now throw in caring but domineering parents, and these two have their work cut out for them. Romeo is determined to show Evie what all he can bring to the table. As you read, you are hoping they will be able to feast on their love. And the ending…hmmmm… Interesting. On a personal note, let’s NOT tame Romeo.

I thought this was a cute, romantic story. I sat down to read a little bit and ended up reading it all in one sitting. It's a sweet sultry story about second chances, being in love, and heartbreak. Evie came home heartbroken after her boyfriend in medical school left her without an explanation and won't answer her calls; she runs into Romeo, her high school boyfriend, who she had left without an explanation. They realize they still have feelings for each other but are their feelings enough to make it work this time? Can Romeo forgive her for the past heartbreak? Can Evie get over her boyfriend who left her heartbroken to actually give Romeo a chance? I feel like this story really explores real-life feelings of love and heartbreak. It has adult content but I felt like it was not over the top. The sexy scenes lets you understand their feelings and developing relationship better. I loved the chemistry between Romeo and Evie. I felt drawn to their characters and relationship. Romeo is really charming and romantic. Evie is funny and finds herself in lots of awkward situations. The family dynamics were really interesting; it gives you insight inside the Filipino culture. There is lots of talk of food, so don't read it hungry because it will drive you crazy! There are enough twists and turns to keep the story from being too predictable and keeping it interesting and alive. It was an enjoyable read! It would make a great beach or poolside read this spring!

I went to bed last night and started the book and within… four hours, I had it finished. I could not put it down! Taming Romeo is a lot tamer than some of the romances I have been reading as of late, but regardless, I could not put it down. Every time I thought the book would slow down, something would happen that would cause me to keep turning the page! Evie is a hot mess that I can certainly relate to. She’s in this spot in her life that she isn’t sure which direction to go. Romeo is hot and genuine. Where Evie questioned his motives, I could definitely see through to his genuiness and never questioned his motives. I enjoyed the setting and learning more of the Filipino culture and truly enjoyed learning the language! Taming Romeo was a hot game of cat and mouse that left me holding my breath more than once not knowing where it was going to go. I strongly recommend Taming Romeo if you are the romance type!

I absolutely adore reading books by this author! This is not the first and it will definitely not be the last! The first book I read and reviewed was Broken Build - (Technothriller & Romantic Suspense), then there was Knowing Vera. Taming Romeo is the third book I have read and this will be at least a series of 3 if I read it correctly! You know I will be reading them as well. Just a word of warning, this is definitely a book for ADULTS-there are some pretty steamy parts. The story line, as usual is marvelous and thankfully ends happily ever after for this Pinoy couple (Evie and Romeo)! They really went through some rough periods there and I was praying that they would get it together. Evies family owned a restaurant and a lot of the action happens there. It is also the story of how families and extended friends and family stick together, and depicts I believe how Pinoy family life is or at least was lived. Imagine being grounded at age 24 by your Dad because you stayed out late (well, all night)! Rachel Ayala knows how to write a book that will make you laugh, then cry then laugh once again! She truly can make you feel what the characters are feeling--from me--this gets a 10!!

This story was quite different than her Chance for Love series, but I still loved it. I especially enjoyed that Evie and Romeo weren't kept apart the entire book and the major conflict was where their long-term relationship stood. Don't worry, there was still plenty of twists and turns along the way. However, I feel like the book should have been called Taming Evie, not Romeo. Although he was a "bad boy," he was still incredibly sweet and you could tell how much he truly loved Evie. We all need a Romeo in our lives.

WOW!! When I started this book it was hard to put it down!!!Taming Romeo is a comtemporary romance which I love romance books.  Evie Sanchez was going to medical school when she went thru a break-up from her boyfriend Eric.  So she decided to recover by going home and working in her parents Filipino restaurant. While home her former boyfriend Romeo is now a hot movie star. Even though Romeo is a Bad Boy he never understood why Evie stood him up at the prom.  After a brief encounter at the dumpster of her families restaurant he is determined to find out why.   The chemistry between Evie and Romeo is HOT!! Romeo is going after what he wants and what he had wanted all along.  Evie lands a part as Romeo’s co-star and falls into her role, totally in love.  But you have to remember is this Fantasy or is it LOVE.. Talk about sexy and hot this book was one I couldn't put down.  I don't want to tell you about the ending that is something you will have to find out.  Just say there is a twist that the author throws in there.
