Overview

After a year of lusting after his sexy employee, werewolf pack-leader Grant broke his no-involvement-with-humans rule and made a move on Talia. A month later the sex is still red hot and everything between them is perfect. Or so he thought. Until the night he shows up at her place expecting their usual ritual of mind-blowing sex and finds out she has other plans. And they don’t include him.

When Talia announces she’s tired of being his last priority, Grant realizes he might lose the only woman he’s ever cared about. He has to do something fast to fix their relationship, but she’s completely unaware that he’s not human. He’s not above using sex to bind her to him, but when she wants more than that he has a risky decision to make. If he admits the truth he risks not only his heart, but the safety of his pack and the existence of all supernatural beings as well.

    Short but sweet

Talia stood up for what she wanted when she thought Grant was taking advantage of her. Would like to see how the romance turned out. Suddenly ended with no closure.

    Good but too short

Authors that write great stories but don't take the time to write a full book and deprive the reader of the inital sexual exploration, "falling in love" phase and the final wedding or mating ritual (in the case of this series) are lazy. You have the talent, develop the damn storyline!

    Me

160 pages for 99 cents. (I've paid $6 to $7 for a book that had as many pages and was a terrable read to boot!)
Know how we hate short stories where the couple meet for the first time, have HOT sex, then saying "I love you" two days later and getting maried? Not believable.
Well it was refreshing for this story to start two months into the relashinship. Very well written! Highly recomend!
    (Yes, it was HOT!)

Grant is Alpha.  All Alpha.  He is the Alpha of his pack a job that keeps him hopping as well as his regular job so he really doesn’t have a lot of time to devote to a relationship.  Talia thinks Grant is hot and sex with him is off the charts but she wants more (GO TALIA) and tells him so. When Grant is flabbergasted that this little human is telling him off (one of my favorite scenes btw) she shuts him down.  It is fun watching the almighty Alpha have to work to get the “little human” to take him as mate.

    Sexy Paranormal Romance

This is the first book that I have read by Stuart, and I plan to read more. The world building is strong, and Grant and Talia are fun characters (though the characterization is a bit light). My only complaint is that the story is three-quarters sex and only one-quarter actual story: the issue of rogue vampires moving into the pack's territory is never resolved, and Grant's isdues with his father (which apparently play a role in the succeeding stories) are only hinted at here.

Quick, frothy fun; a good way to destress after a long day at work. -- lyradora

I have to admit that I discovered this series when the third book, Tempting His Mate, was released.  I'm a little OCD about not starting at the beginning even though these books can be read as stand alone.  So I ordered all three at once and ended up reading one per day.  I was hooked within the first few pages.  The story is well written, the chemistry between Grant and Talia is terrific.    Grant, the sexy alpha of his werewolf pack, and Talia, one of his employees and a human to boot, hook up.  Talia is a very spunky character.  She doesn't know that Grant is a shifter let alone the alpha, she doesn't even know shifters exist.  What she does know is that she wants and deserves more than she thinks he is willing to give so she cuts him off which really throws the dominate alpha for a loop and makes him open his eyes as far as she is concerned.

    Good

I liked this short paranormal romance. I dont really care about fleshing out the characters in short stories. The love between the main characters and the ending are all that really matters. And these two people loved each other and they had passion and very steamy sex. Great short story but not for young people. Phyl p

This was a fun, fast, and hot short story. Grant is the alpha of the Gulf Shore, Alabama pack and Talia is a human who does not know about the shifter world. Grant knows nothing about how to be in a relationship but knows he needs Talia. Talia wants Grant but feels used for sex only which by the way the sex was HOT! Read and see if Grant can convince Talia he wants forever.
