ARE YOU MY PRINCE?

For Sara Wallington, escort for the man who was just possibly the heir to the throne of her native country, the answer was a resounding I doubt it.Because Shane Cordello--aka the possible prince of Penwyck--was hardly the regal and serene figure she was expecting. "Taming the Prince," the second to last book in Silhouette's "Crown and Glory" series, is a true gem because it's penned by romance fan favorite, Elizabeth Bevarly. She has a way with words and character introspection that makes her books very appealing. The hero, a construction foreman who might just be the true prince of Penwyck, a small European country, isn't thrilled with possibility. The heroine, a counter-terrorism-trained royal escort, isn't thrilled with her babysitting duties. But one thing is sure, there are romantic thrills in store for both of them as they battle terrorists and their own reluctance to follow through on their emotions. As much as I enjoyed this book, I doubt I will seek out the rest of the "Crown and Glory" series, because I understand that the Silhouette editors choose the storylines for the books for these types of multi-author series. Having non-authors plot a book is a real recipe for disaster. It's a little like waiters buying restaurant supplies and expecting the chef to make gourmet meals from whatever they bought. But there are a few authors whose work I will buy even if they are simply writing a book based on the bones given to them by the editors. And Liz Bevarly is one of those authors.
