Ruben D'Artagnan Gonzalez is a celebrated composer, arranger and violinist who uses this album as a vehicle to demonstrate his interpretation of the word tango. The influences for his compositions come from his father, who was Gonzalez's first violin teacher and a tango orchestra leader in Argentina. Gonzalez and co-composers Mariano Krauz and Susana Mendelievich put their own stamp on the style with tempo and tonal variations that show they studied many forms of music, including classical and jazz.
