Overview

The Tao of Cleaning is divided into five parts, each dealing with a major problem that makes cleaning difficult. Lao Tzu's Tao Teh Ching was chosen as the model for this book because it is pithy and deals with reconciling problems in a balanced way. Of course The Tao of Cleaning does not pretend to approach the stature of the original, but it pays homage to it. In emulating the Tao Teh Ching the author wished to entertain the reader and divert attention away from the bitterness of the tasks at hand by enlisting the wisdom of a legendary sage.

What People are saying about this

McFadden Margaret
The size and design of the book are excellent. The graphics are eyecatching and fit in with the theme beautifully. There is just the right blend of 'cleaning advice' and humor throughout the book to make it a great gift book for most occasions.

This book is beautifully designed and thoughtfully written. I was impressed by the thorough treatment of the subject and excellent organizational structure. My house is clean now. But the book is about more - the advice it contains applies to many 'difficult' or 'unpleasant' tasks like cleaning. Excellent - very helpful. Many thanks to the author.
