Meet the Author

Alphonse Daudet, es un conocido y respetado escritor de la Francia del siglo XIX. Escribió novelas, relatos y crónicas, que ocupan un lugar importante entre los clásicos literarios franceses y mundiales. En 1872 escribe Tartarín de Tarascón, que fue su personaje mítico. Le siguieron Tartarín en los Alpes (Tartarin sur les Alpes, 1885) y Port-Tarascon, 1890. Fue miembro de la Academia Goncourt (1874-1880) y murió en París el 16 de diciembre de 1897.
