Taste of Texas: Songs 'bout Texas by Texans

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
The title says it all, really. Taste of Texas: Songs 'Bout Texas by Texans has 13 songs about Texas by some of the biggest names in Texas country and blues, including George Jones "You Can't Get the Hell Out of Texas", Stevie Ray Vaughan "Texas Flood", Billy Joe Shaver "Blue Texas Waltz", Moe Bandy "Deep in the Heart of Texas", David Alan Coe "Texas Lullabye", Willie Nelson "Texas on a Saturday Night", Asleep at the Wheel "Way Down Texas Way" and Johnny Winter "Hustled Down in Texas". It's a bit uneven, but it's still a fun listen.
