    Engaging Read on a unique hero whose story should be better known!

    Despite having read a lot on the post civil war civil rights era I had never heard of Octavious Catto before reading this fascinating book. The book is written in an engaging, enjoyable style and you will learn a great deal about this tragic era and this heroic man whose story should be better known. My only complaint was this book's $35 cover price... the increasing price trend of hardcover books is not a good thing.
