A nice variety, I like it!

I like this book; there is everything from edgings and appliques to baby bonnets, doilies and beaded jewlery. This is my first tatting pattern book so I don't have much to compare to, but I would recomend it as a first becasue it does have the variety. Also, the way the book is set up it is easy to do just part of the patterns... for example many of the doilies have smaller medalions as a part of them that I have made individually as coasters! The edgings look the same way, very easy to do smaller parts of them for a very different look. Another thing that I like is that there are many photos of the smaller parts of patterns which makes it easy to 'figure things out' that don't seem obvious (to a newbie) in the pattern. One thing I do not like is that the pictures are generally not on the same page as their pattern and you have to flip pages back and forth to see the pattern and picture, and you sometimes need to do some searching to even find the picture. But all in all I would recomend this book.
