    Worth the read

For those that do plenty of diy, this is a good book to learn some basics about tiling. The book breaks down all of the basic information that you would need to do a tiling job from equipment, mortars, under-layment, to basic prep, grout, layout, tiling techniques (back splashes, floors, counter tops, walls), and long term care. The book is basic enough to get the job done, but you will need to have had some knowledge of basic tiling or other sources to tackle any specific problems that you might run into.

Overall the book lays a good foundation for a tiling job. It has a good amount of pictures to see the actual applications and is laid out well

    Complete to the max!

Being a mosaic artist. I work with tile and glass. Finally a book that is so complete it takes all of the guess work out of installation. Now I understand the professional way to install anything from small projects to a floor. I love the 'Warnings' and the 'Trade Secrets'. The clarity of the photgraphs are wonderfully helpful. And in the Acnowledgments, seeing the authors give thanks to their dog and dogs on their job sites was very very sweet.
