Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Sarah Raymond
From a very young age, Taylor Swift knew she wanted a career as a singer/song writer. Although it took a lot of hard work and dedication, it took Taylor Swift very little time before becoming a name people around the country had heard of and listened to on a daily basis. This book tells about her life and rise to fame. The book ranges from the difficulties she had in school being bullied to the numerous relationships she has had with some very infamous people. Although Swift fans may enjoy reading this book due to its content, the text was extremely boring and drawn out. The author basically took all the information he could gather from social media, magazine interviews, etc. and compiled them into a life story. The author went into great lengths analyzing song lyrics and what they may say about Taylor Swift as a person, which does not mean the information is entirely factual. Although the novel paints a nice picture of Taylor Swift, the content is questionable. Reviewer: Sarah Raymond; Ages 12 up.
