INTENDED AUDIENCE: grades 5-9 GENRE: nonfiction OPENING and SYN

    INTENDED AUDIENCE: grades 5-9
    GENRE: nonfiction

    OPENING and SYNOPSIS:
“Best. First. Youngest. Each time Taylor Swift’s name comes up in a newspaper, magazine, or online article, there is a good chance at least one of those three words will be included.”
This pop star’s 48-page biography chronicles her life from her childhood in Wyomissing, PA, through her 2011 “Speak Now” tour. Backmatter includes resources for further information, timeline, discography and a glossary.
    THEMES/TOPICS: music, celebrity biography
WHY I LIKE THIS BOOK: Burlingame shows that much of Swift’s success can be attributed to her hard work rather than luck. Before becoming famous, Swift performed at karaoke, fairs and baseball games and became a staff songwriter at Sony/ATV to hone her craft. Now, rather than being a prima donna, Swift remains down to earth, using social media to connect with fans. Burlingame gives us many reasons to appreciate Swift as a wonderful role model.
    RESOURCES/ACTIVITIES:
Enslow provides an educator’s guide with extension activities covering many school subjects.

    Song i wrote

Sometimes i wonder if youre worth thinking 'bout cuz we hardly see each other and youre always talkin to your friends. So i say...... Give me your attention. For second. For a minute. For a dayyyyy. Cuz i want you and im gettin you my wayyyyy. So if you dont wanna, then give me your attention.... heyyyy. I always find myself staring at you and i wonder whatcha doing are you thinking about me? Or some other girl? And i was thinking........ give me you attention. For a second. For a minute. For a dayyyyy. Cuz i want you and im getting you my wayyyyy. So if you dont wanna, then give me your attention heyyyyy.

    PLEASE READ

So here is the chorus of a new song i wrote. Tell me what you think! " What happens when you break it when it's already broken? What happens when you pound a door but it just won't open? And what happens when you tell a girl she can't do anything right? When that song comes on, she'll cry." Thanks for reading! Reply to musiclover.

To abby , these r the red lyrics

Lovin him is like tryin to turn right on a dead end street. Faster than the wind passionite until suddenly lovin him is like tryin to change ur mind in line for the free fall. Like the colors are on so bright and beautiful. Losin him was blue like i never know. Missin him was dark gray all alone. Forgettin him was like tryin to know somebody u never met. And lovin him was red. Lovin him was red. Touchin him was like realizin all u ever wanted was right there in front of u. Then havin him here was a easy as moonwalk to ur old favorite song. Likeng him was like tryin to solve a problem and realizin theres no right answer. Regretting him was like wishing ...

Now u try to finish it

    The Orphan part 2

As you ride in Mr.Grande's car, you wonder if he lives in a giant mantion or a small house. You arrive and Mr.Grande says in a harsh voice, "Out" you open the door and get out quickly. You look up and see a beautiful mansion. Mr.Grande walks to the door and opens it. Once inside he yells, "Kids!!" And three kids, about your age run down the stairs to the right of you and stop in a line probibly 10 inches away from your feet. The youngest stepps up. "HI! Im Heather. Im 10" the second youngest stepps up. "Hello." She whispers, "Im Holly. Im 12" and the oldest finally stepps up. He is a boy, the only boy. "Sup" you notice he is chewing gum and you see his hat is backwards. "Im Drake, whats up with your hair?" And as he walks away, he says "YOLO" From nature, you introduce yourself. "Good day. Im Lily. Nice to meet you." Drake heads up stairs while beatboxing. Heather and Holly stay. "Holly, I think she needs a tour around the house." Heather winces at that. They must have to talk. Part 3 will be on ann of green gables. Part 1 is on Insurgent
