An intriguing addition to my practice

I am the president of the American Tarot Association. I was given a review copy of this deck. There, now that that's out of the way, let's talk about this fascinating oracle.

Hepburn takes a centuries-old divination system that she herself has practiced for a number of years and translates it into a more accessible deck of circular cards. These cards are illustrated with a distinctly Occidental flavor by Shawna Alexander.

Although there are easily 500+ symbols for tasseomancers, Hepburn did an exhaustive comparison of all the symbols to end up with 182 that she felt were the most important. She includes six cards for the Astral houses and 12 for the months of the year bringing the total to 200 cards.

While this can seem overwhelming if you, like me, are used to 78 or fewer cards, there is a method to the madness. You use an Astral card to focus the reading on an area and then use the months for timing. There are different spreads given with the book that comes with this set.

I am not always drawn to oracles but Hepburn and Alexander have created a truly interesting deck. I know I will be using it in my professional capacity with my clients. It promises to be a fun oracle with a unique way of delivering information.

    I do recommend this deck.

I've used this deck for about a week now, and I have to say that

I've used this deck for about a week now, and I have to say that this is one of the best decks I've had the pleasure of interacting with.

The fact that the cards are round it a nice change and they fit in my hands perfectly. The art on the cards it easy it interpret but even if you're having a little bit of trouble, the book explains the card's art very well (the first section of the book teaching actually tasseomancy it a pretty cool bonus and adds another perspective to it for me). The art itself isn't the absolutely smooth perfection I'm used to seeing but the sketchiness and watercolor is what really drew me to the cards in the first place. And after my first reading with it? Oh my, I just felt like the deck was made for me. The personality of the cards is so compatible with my own I feel like the deck was made specifically for me.

At first the 182 fortune cards seemed intimidating and I was wondering how I was going to shuffle that many cards at once but the mixing bag it came with makes it easy. And the bag was definitely bigger than I though it would be.

Overall, this is one of the best purchases I've made in the way of divination. And I feel it'll stay that was for a long time, maybe forever.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS INNOVATIVE DECK Rae Hepburn,

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS INNOVATIVE DECK

Rae Hepburn, the author of Tea Leaf Fortune Cards, takes the symbols that wet tea leaves make in a teacup and has translated them into a set of user-friendly cards. By doing this, she takes the difficult skill of tea leaf reading and makes it simple - even for a complete beginner.

The set consists of 200 beautifully illustrated circular cards. Circular to represent a teacup. There are 182 Tea Leaf Fortune Symbol Cards each illustrated with a symbol and the name of the symbol printed on the card as well as a brief meaning; 12 Month of the Year Cards; 6 Astral House Cards; a gold organza bag for mixing the cards and a ninety-eight page book, all housed in a sturdy box that opens like a chest.

The book describes the ancient art of tea leaf reading and how these innovative cards utilize the symbology of tea leaves to divine fortunes. In actual tea leaf reading there are over 500 symbols, but in the interest of portability, Hepburn has pared this down to 182 cards by combining symbols that have similar meanings. While a brief meaning of the symbol is printed on the cards, there is a full description and in-depth meaning of each card in index form at the back of the book. The book also shows photographs of actual tea leaf readings making it possible to do a reading using tea leaves instead of the cards, if you are brave enough.

Hepburn suggests three different methods to divine your fortune: The Coming Year, The Coming Week and the Astral House Pyramid method which answers questions regarding Love, Marriage, Happiness, Success, Wealth, Career. However, since I started using these cards I feel so connected to them that I have taken to leaving them in the mixing bag and pulling out a card each morning as a guide for the day. I find these cards uncannily accurate and I highly recommend them to beginners and experts alike for their accuracy and ease of use.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS INNOVATIVE DECK

Rae Hepburn, the author of Tea Leaf Fortune Cards, takes the symbols that wet tea leaves make in a teacup and has translated them into a set of user-friendly cards. By doing this, she takes the difficult skill known as tasseography and makes it simple - even for a complete beginner.

Tea Leaf Fortune Cards are unlike any other divination deck. Each symbol has a single meaning so there is no uncertainty as to what a symbol means. I find these cards uncannily accurate and I highly recommend them to beginners and experts alike for their accuracy and ease of use.

    No Energy!

These Cards have bad Karma! I have tried to use them many times, and each time I've become MORE exhausted than the last. I also have heard bad reviews from the people who come to shop. I refuse to Carry these in my shop, and burnt my deck. You should do the same!

Great Solution to Tea Leaf Reading

These cards are a great tool for reading your future. They are easy to understand, very straight forward no wondering with these. I recommend the Tea Leaf fortune cards over the Tarot hands down. I have tried both and these are so much more rewarding. I would definitely suggest these for novice and experienced readers.

    Tea Leaf Fortune Cards

I love this kit because it is so down-to-earth and there is nothing vague or esoteric about it. The cards are very easy to use and leave no doubt in your mind as to what they are saying. The symbols are beautifully portrayed on each card and the clear, concise meaning of these symbols are also written on each card making it really easy to tell your fortune. Tea Leaf Fortune Cards bring a no-nonsense, straight forward approach to fortune telling which is like a breath of fresh air and a welcome change from Tarot which has gotten a little too deep and other worldly for my taste.

    Tea Leaf Fortune Cards

Tea Leaf reading is renowned as a very accurate divination tool. People swear by it. However, it is a difficult art to learn and certainly not for novices or dabblers - until now. This terrific kit has taken all the mystery and mess out of tea leaf reading by translating the symbols that wet tea leafs form and transferring them to cards. The kit consists of 200 beautifully illustrated cards. Each card has a symbol and the meaning of that symbol printed on the card. There are three simple methods by which you can tell your fortune; The Coming Year, The coming Week and the Astral Houses. An informative book is also included which explains the methods in layman's language (nothing esoteric or mysterious here). The book also explains the traditional method for reading tea leaves for those brave souls who want to try it. Even though I can read tea leaves, I'll use the Tea Leaf Fortune Cards any day. They're much easier to read, prettier to look at and just as accurate. Perfect for today's world.

    Tea Leaf Fortune Cards

I tried reading tea leaves and it was always a messy, arduous affair. You really have to be able to translate the symbols and know what they mean. Also, where the tea leaves lie in the cup is very important. It was so tough that I finally gave up. With the Tea Leaf Fortune Cards, Rae Hepburn has come up with an interesting and easy way to read tea leaves. She has taken away all the mess but none of the accuracy associated with tea leaves. If you are a beginner, these cards are definitely for you. They will have you reading fortunes like a pro in no time. I really recommend them.
