Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher
If you have any liberal/socialist/sexy democratic folks on your holiday gift list, consider giving them the gift of parody/sarcasm with "The Tea Party Guide to Being a Real American." Roland Boyle attempts to deconstruct the Tea Party and their supporters with a passive aggressive tone that will likely leave you laughing all the way to the next major election.

Imagine a Stephen Colbert marathon. Imagine a Stephen Colbert marathon on steroids. This is Roland Boyle. Boyle's presentation is a non-stop exposition on the Tea Party movement, albeit from a slightly twisted perspective.

Meet the Author

Roland Boyle, known in impolite circles as the Tea Bastard, was born in the back seat of a bald eagle on the fourth of July in the middle of a firing range, raised by missionaries, and educated on the mean streets of Independence, Missouri. As the creator of teabastard.com, he crisscrossed the broad face of this great land, researching the new conservative movement, holding prayer meetings in public buildings, and drinking heavily. This book is the result.

Omce again the left attempts to make the right look bad. If you think that the tea party is evil "read thats no angry mob thats my mom".

Ok, first of all, read the whole front cover if you're going to judge it. This book is a parody; the author does not think liberals are godless. However, if you happen to be particularly conservative (i.e., a member of this ridiculous movement,) you're probably too stupid to realize that this book IS supposed to be offensive toward you. He is not glorifying the Tea Party movement, he's making fun of it. And for that exact reason, this book was a pleasure to read. If you can laugh at the most disgusting people in the country instead of getting angry or crying in frustration, you will probably enjoy this book.

Now, I have not read this book, but the title just makes me ask the question: why do some conservatives think liberals are godless and disloyal to America? I would love to know where this crude generalization came from because whoever created it will get a piece of mind. I love my God just as much as any conservative. And so what if we respect socialism? That is not because we hate America, we just like how it seems to work in other countries like England. If some conservative could hear me out here, that would be great.
