Common sense ways to focus and organize for a successful teaching year!

Although I am a seasoned teacher - beginning my 20th year in high school science classrooms - I am always looking for ways to refresh myself in order to keep the job exciting and as stress free as possible. When I looked though this little book (162 pages) I was hit with the clarity of vision: Expectations, Goals, and Planning.

For each point there are specific guidelines which will assist the new, as well as the seasoned teacher. The authors lay out examples of how to organize that maximizes the time you have: they are obviously masters of time management.

Teachers are given tips on how to present first day "get to know you lessons" and give key information to be successful when observed by administrator.

An appendix contains samples of class rules, lesson summary worksheets, methods of creating appropriate questions to verify student learning, and much more. All designed to make a teacher's life easier

If you are new to teaching or simply feeling overwhelmed, this book will give easy, focused guidelines that will help simplify your year.
