Poorly written with conflicts that resolve too quickly and poorly edited. The potential for a decent plot is lost in the underdeveloped characters.

Great Suspense through out the entire book with a little romance. The format is a little different but after I while I got used to it, it changes each chapter with the main characters and different time lines in the characters lives. This story is about Grace and how she moves to a new city to restart her life after one of her students tries to kill her, only to find out another one of her new students want to kill her too....OH my the suspense on each page to find out what happened. Very easy to read and kept you intrigued. It ends with a interesting ending in the epilogue that could end the book or lead into another book. Look forward to reading the second book in this installment.

169 pages. Pretty violent, poorly edited. When the author mixed up his character's names, it was confusing and irratating. ( David and Scott) The details of Deke's and Grace's lives were repeated over and over so many times, they became mundane. This book would have much better with more tension and better details. When I finished the conclusuon, I was disappointed and thought enough is enough. I will not be reading more by this author. Murder, violence, sex, a bit of romance, arson, other types of death, gory details. Crazed people of all types, mystery, this book could have been so much better. It had all the elements needed, the author just didn't expound on them. AD AD

It was an okay story. Jumped around to much between characters.

I didn't much care for the cast of characters, the story line was a bit choppy, and it felt as though the author spent a lot of time describing one character in particular to the point it became redundant and boring. I don't know that I'd say it was a bad book, but I didn't find it all that interesting either.

Started reading this five-star review from one person ... who wrote that review ... the author. After reading a dozen or so chapters (albeit snippets that went no where), I got so aggravated and agitated by this storyline that I just gave up. The story line ... picture yourself in a small room with a "super ball" that seems to bounce everywhere at the same time but goes no where ... there seems to be no semblance of order. My suggestion ... touch match to page one ....

Read it in 1 day. Kept my interest.

After I finished this book the first word that came to mind was "lame". There really wasn't much of a story or plot and you knew who was doing the killing and even why.

I was hesitant to read this book, because of some of the reviews, I am glad I did. Some did not like the format this book had, it was not an issue to me. I found it to be an easy read that held my attention. I will be reading the next book in this series.

Lots of potential. Hopefully character development and dialogue will improve in future efforts. After witnessing a student shot down (Sam) and being chased by a killer (Grace) it's not quite believable that the next stop would be giggling and kissing in the doorway to a critically injured girl.

So I am only 3/4 of the way thru this read, and all of a sudden there's major bloopers.....Sam lives in a house, a bungalo, but cops show up at Sam's apartment, then Detective Scott asks Sam a question about Scott's house burning down, it was David's house. Editing missed more than these two blatant bloopers.

Although the premise is decent, the writing style is very fragmented and hard to follow.

This book is truly a romantic suspense. It’s crazy how two people can fall in love while getting shot at. The story line had me hooked from the beginning and I couldn’t put the book down. The main characters are Grace, Sam and Deke. Grace is hiding from her past, and just wants to settle down in a new town, where nobody knows the terrible things that have happened to her. She’s stuck living in a basement with a family who doesn’t like her, and gets shot at on her first day of work as a substitute teacher at the local high school. Sam is the local cardiologist and the town loves and respects him, but he has a difficult time with personal relationships. Deke is an orphaned teen ager who has a warped sense of honor because of things that have happened in his life. The other characters in the book are all enter twined and Charlotte Raine does a great job developing her characters and story. The body count keeps going up as the local police try to figure out who is killing towns people, and shooting at Grace. This is the first book I’ve read by Charlotte Raine. She found me on Twitter and messaged me about her free book Teacher Beware. I’m glad she did, and with the ending she wrote, I’m anxious to see what happens in the next book, Disturbed Mind. Charlotte has an easy to read writing style, with description and events that get you hooked on the story, and concerned for the characters right away. The language is fairly mild (four f-words), the sex is very mild, the violence is not graphic. I liked how each chapter was about a different character and skips back and forth in time. Don’t worry, this was easy to follow. I hope you give Teacher Beware a chance, I’m glad I did. Enjoy!

I enjoyed this book. It was fast moving. Well developed characters and plot. I appreciate that there was resolution at the end with enough of a hint of more drama for the main characters to come that it makes me want the next book.

4 Stars Suspense with a touch of romance. Each chapter is from the point of view of one of the three main characters, and sometimes the chapter is from their past, which allows you more insight into each character and gives a reason for certain behaviors from them. Although the format is different than I normally read, I found the book to be easy to follow. It has great character interaction, and a plot that will keep you on your toes. A great read for all those interested in suspense or mystery/thriller type books.

I connected right off with the story line and character since I also work with At Risk students in a small town public school...have to say, it made me rethink a few of my own students as well! Great story!

This story is about three people and how their lives connect. One of them is a substitute teacher named Grace. She saw a Muslim couple get shot and since she is a witness, the killer tries to kill her too. Then there is Sam who is a cardiologist. He saw Grace get out of her car to help the couple so he tackled her. He arrived just in time because Grace was being shot at by this time. Deke is the teenager who is killing all the owners of auto repair shops in the small town in order to get rid of any competition his grandfather's shop may have. Teacher Beware was written in a unique way by often going back several years for each character. I found this confusing and hard to follow. Given my feelings on that, I felt it was a 3 star book. That was until the ending - then it became a 2 star. Please remember that this is just my opinion and other readers may not have the difficulty that I did in following the story.

Given To Me For An Honest Review Teacher Beware by Charlotte Raine is something that once you open the book it will grab you, hold you down on the edge of your seat  as you watch the pages turn and turn and turn some more. As you read it it will begin to feel like you are becoming a part of the story.  There's a few twists and turns included and they will keep you on your toes. Grace moves from a past that she wants to forget. She is hired as a teacher in a new town. On her first day she sees a killing and she too is shot.  The killer is after her. She is now a target to be killed. Why was Grace shot?  What will happen to Grace?  Will the killer be caught before anything happens?  The ending is not what you  expect ...... Sequel??  I gave this book 5 stars but wish I could give it more. I highly recommend this book for everyone, especially to  those who like books with drama, suspense, and a bit of romance. I look forward to reading more by Charlotte Raine.
