This new book focuses on strategies and the facilitation of learning relative to the human service professions. Topics of teaching and learning as a component of professional practice, clients as learners, development of learning relationships, facilitation of group learning, assessment of learning needs, teaching strategies, resources and activities, and evaluation of learning are covered in the nine chapters. Numerous examples of teaching situations from the human service professional practice enhance the content of this introductory-level textbook. The purpose is to provide a practical guide to the implementation of teaching and the facilitation of learning within the practice of health service professionals using an adult education perspective.
