Two teacher-researchers present an approach to teaching and teacher education that is deeply rooted in the study of practice. They draw on their use of video, audio, and text tools to capture information about what occurred in two mathematics education classrooms during one school year. These tools allow them to closely examine the daily interplay between teacher, student, and subject content. Videos of lessons and teachers' daily plans can be used as curriculum for teacher education in a technology-supported environment. Annotation c. by Book News, Inc., Portland, Or.
