If You Like Ugly Street Talk-----

One of the worst books I ever tried to read! I lost count within the first chapter of how much foul language and killing/mayhem had already taken place, and as the so-called story progressed, how much open corruption was displayed. A very exploitive book, teeming with stylized "street language" from the ghetto-type characters, treachery, debauchery, and slaughter (fortunately, most of the slaughterees seem to be expendable products of the mean streets, but then so are the slaughterers!), with virtually no sympathetic fifures throught. I can find no reason for publishing such a foul book, let alone a series of them, except for exploitive and sensationalistic purposes. What has the literary world become!?!

Great Read and a Outstanding Author

I read this book in less than three days. Tears of a Hustler is extremely thrilling; it is filled with action, drama and capital. The author captures what seems to be a real life, in depth drug organization. When reading you can hang on to his every word with his descriptive lingo. The story line is captivating and intriguing. This book is so articulatly written I am compelled to give this author a five star rating on this novel, and a pat on the back to go with it.

A little to unbelievable for my taste....

I get that this is urban fiction but it was a bit too unbelievable for me. The author strayed way from the story line and some of the typos were misleading. On one page the guy was getting shot at and few pages later he's in a meeting with no mention of what happened during the shoot out. I wanted to give this author another shot and purchased part two, I will review that book accordingly, stay tuned.....

    lots of foul language.

I was very disgusted with this book. all it is is a bunch of black people calling each other foul names and words that white people can say cause they'd be labeled racists. If a white person can't say n....why can a black? pathetic attempt at writing.

    Pretty good read

I enjoyed reading this book, although I am not a hood rat or from the streets I could follow. I think the crooked cop should have been exposed. But overall I enjoyed reading it.

I would give this book no stars if I could. One of the most poo

I would give this book no stars if I could. One of the most poorly written, foul mouthed books I have ever tried to read. If this is a true depiction of the Black culture--sub-standard English, foul mouthed degenerates with deplorable morals, cold blooded killers, no respect at all for society, law and order, then the racists are right and the whole bunch need to be nuked. The women are all whores who spend most of their lives going down on a bunch of losers and the men are all sociopathic brainless killers. And, really, there are more of these books in a series??? The 18 reviews that gave this book 5 stars need to re-evaluate their moral compass.

    Don't Bother

This has got to be one of the most worthless pieces of trash that I have attempted to read. I gave it three chapters, but things weren't getting any better. The characters were just about all losers, doomed to horrible fates. Perhaps the author should consider another line of work.

This could have been a great read. The story is intriguing, but

This could have been a great read. The story is intriguing, but the writing itself is pretty poor, w/ a lot of misspellings, typos and really bad renditions of the street slang and vernacular. Very shoddy work. The author should consider using a competent editor next time. I'm just glad I got this book for free b/c I would feel totally ripped off if I had paid even $0.99 for it. I certainly won't be buying anything else by this author. I really hope he hires a good editor or, at minimum, takes some classes to try to whittle away the dross and get to the core of what it means to call oneself a writer.

    Dreadful book

It is so awful that I can't help but think the reviewers are related to, or friends, with the author.

It bobggles the imagination why any company would actually publish such vulgar, degrading trash
