After environmental collapse, survivors form The Town, a society governed by the cruel cream-robed Supreme Council. The council comprises of three presidents, the first and most dangerous; Aaron, the second Delmo and third David.

Council Forum includes Attendees with loyalty to serve their designated president, young Acolytes in training, and Garon the president's torturer and executioner. The police and slaves of The Town also serve The Council, and all people must adhere.

Education is limited through reduced literature and controlled teachers. Any disobedient, sick or sixty-five-year-old community members are routinely exterminated at The Sanctum Of Well-Being.

The feared Wastelands outside The Town are forbidden. Mictor is the Wasteland's leader of the Mictoran rebellion. The Townspeople believe all Mictorans were annihilated by the police many years ago when they attacked town.

Jason Thorason is Teg's grandfather and a physician of The Town who is turning sixty-five and set for execution. Teg, convinces Jason to flee with him immediately after pointing out hypocrisy and corruption, such as the presidents being over sixty-five themselves.

Elene is an Acolyte of Delmo's who refuses his sexual advances and is sentenced to execution.

Jason and Teg escape into the Wastelands, and Elene also runs away.

Elene gets captured by a policeman who plans to rape then return her to The Sanctum. Teg rescues Elene, and the three run until they are captured by Mictorans.

Mictorans hate Townspeople and want to kill the trio, but Mictor sees something in Teg and intervenes. Aging Mictor mentors Teg to rule the rebellion in his place.

Jason meets and marries Margarita and builds a hospital, while Teg falls in love with Elene and forms a better-trained army.

With internal help from Attendees Antony, James and policeman Valdor, Teg's army engages in an enormous battle at The Town costing Valdor's life but killing the council; freeing the people.

About the Author

John Houseman was one of 6 children, he grew up in the streets of London, England. It was here he met his wife. They married and had four children. In 1983 he and his family emigrated to Melbourne, Australia to begin a new life adventure. A family man and electrical engineer he was someone who always liked to challenge himself so in his spare time he enjoyed trying his hand at gardening, dressmaking and cooking. Being someone with a high IQ he loved solving crosswords and dabbling with writing. The completion of Teg was an accomplishment of a vision he had for himself to create and write a novel.
