    Telecommunications Management

Rather than solely concentrating on the technology of telecommunications, Mr. Jones caters more to the needs of today's business students. Telecommunications Management is the ideal textbook for exposing students to all facets of telecommunications. It stresses the importance of the managerial decision-making side of telecommunications. This book will provide business students with the technical vocabulary, technical understanding, and decision-making ability necessary to be an effective business telecommunications manager.

    Telecommunications Management

Mr. Jones does an exquisite job in describing the issues currently going on in the industry. The historical accounts are wonderful and the information on Customer Relationship Management and Billing is invaluable. This book does an excellent job in describing what is necessary to effectively compete in today's environment. I've worked in the industry as a telecom manager for over 22 years, and this book is the most comprehensive reference I've encountered. This one is worth picking up.

    Telecommunications Management

Really enjoyed the detailed discussions regarding what not to do in telecom project management. This book was a good read and I feel it will definitely help me in my career. I've looked at the other books on the market and this one definitely is one that covers all of the bases, from history, to the business processes (billing, customer care, disaster recovery, management, fiber optics, wireless technologies, etc...) to the details of telecommunication priciples. I've learned a great deal from this book and I think everyone will be enlightened by its content. I picked up mine from Books-A-Million but I believe it is also available at Walden and Amazon. Though I don't generally take the time to review books, this one actually benefited me a great deal so I felt it was my obligation to tell others how great it is. Take the time to read this one and you'll have a full understanding of telecommunications and understand what strategies companies must take to be competitive.

Also enjoyed the historical accounts when describing how the industry evolved. This one is definitely worth picking up. Much more detail than I've witnessed with any other telecom book so far.
