Tell All Your Friends is quite reminiscent of the Movielife's This Time Next Year. This is quite understandable when one realizes that one of the members of Taking Back Sunday used to be in the Movielife. Unfortunately, although there are a few variations, the ability of Taking Back Sunday to sound so blatantly like their fellow Long Island comrades is almost their undoing. Vocally, Taking Back Sunday sound very close to the Canterbury Effect, while musically there are times where they're a bit more rockin' than the Movielife in that they have cultivated punk, hardcore, emo, and pop and hybridized it better. It's quite upbeat and very danceable, thus making it fun and interesting. Yet at the same time it's nowhere near to being original or creative. Perhaps within their genre they're creative, but for the most part, bands like Taking Back Sunday seem to be all too common in an age of acts like the Movielife, A New Found Glory, and other hardcore/pop-punk acts. This was an awesome CD. It was their best CD yet. It has a great beat in every single song. I don’t think that there is a song that I did not enjoy. If you are a Taking Back Sunday fan, then this is a must buy CD. I bought this CD when it first came out, and I was very pleased with what they have done. I am mostly happy, because none of their songs on this new CD sound like any of their older songs. That is always a good thing. If they come out with other new CD’s, then I will definitely buy them. They are all worth the money. You always get what you pay for. Well, they now have another happy customer!! THANK YOU!!

This is a very powerful but depressing album. If you can't appreciate it, you've obviously never felt the way Taking Back Sunday has in their relationships. Although this album makes me feel sad and depressed if I think about my love life too much while listening to it, I don't regret buying it at all. Taking Back Sunday is the new face of punk.

Great album, not quite a 5 star, but definentaly in my top 10 of CD's I own. They, along with such bands as Brand New and The Short Bus All Stars, have definentaly renewed the status of emo. I would recomend it to anyone, and I hope that TBS keeps bringing out great stuff.

Man where do I start? This is one of my favorite bands and I had the honor of seeing them live for free. Sure I had to drive 3 hours but it was worth it. Anywhoo back to the review. Taking Back Sunday combines emo, rock and the energy of punk to make an amazing sound. And how dare you call them pop-punk. Thats an insult. No pop involved in this treat. Adam Lazzara is a poet. What else can I say besides buy this cd? buy this cd now!!!

You know what... who cares what kind of music they are the facts are that they are my fav band and they have so much raw talent. Their music is so emotoinal you almost feel like crying to it. Their lyrics are so original and like nothing I've ever heard before. These guys are amazing live and I don't know what I'd do without their music. It's so powerful. Just buy the CD and appreciate it for all that it is.

Emo is a respected style now, about bloody time. Bands like Taking Back Sunday get overlooked. 'Tell All Your Friends,' indeed do this album has it all, from emo to slight elements of punk. Stand out tracks like 'Cute without the E and Bike Scene will get you singing along at full volume. A similar style to Saves The Day and The Get Up Kids, fans of these bands will not be disapointed..... Go buy it

I really loved the new album, but "tell all your friends" is classic. If you don't have it and jumped on the band wagon recently, definitely pick it up. Only then can you really appreciate TBS. Why should I explain it, when you should just get this album and see for yourself. Promise you won't be disappointed!

This is one of the best cd's I own. There lyrics are great, very original. TBS is the best band ever and I would reccomend it to anyone who likes any of the bands below.

I love this CD. Like a lot of other people, I haven't gotten sick of it and i sincerly doubt I ever will. I strongly believe that Taking Back Sunday is one of the best bands I have ever heard. It's a pleasure to your ears.

Taking Back Sunday's CD 'Tell All Your Friends' is a great display of post-grunge talent. There is very little resemblance to the Movielife on the record, and the vocal stylings are closer to that of the Jersey emo band Thursday. The album is more original musically and has more variations than anything the Movielife ever did. Get a clue.

i disagree that this is ''post-grunge'' or that it sounds like thursday, whose music is much more hardcore, intelligent and powerful. this is just pretty straightforward, fairly generic pop-punk emo with a hint of hardcore influence. if you like the band brand new, you will probably like this (the song ''there's no I in team'' was written in response to brand new's ''seventy times 7'' over a conflict between the bands' singers). it's hardly deep, but the melodies and teen-angst type lyrics are pretty catchy. and if you don't feel embarrassed getting really into singing along to stuff like this, it's a fun live experience.

That's all I have to say about this album. I LOVE it. I can't describe to you how incredibly WONDERFUL this cd is. I listened to it for about 3 months straight, and each time I heard "so sick so sick of being tired" i would get so excited for the greatness about to ensue. BUY THIS CD. NOW.

this is an absolutely amazing CD. every single one of the songs is brilliant and it is a great CD to listen to over and over again. It is impossible to get sick of this excellent CD, because all of the songs are amazing (especially the first 5)!
