All Music Guide - Kurt Morris
Tell All Your Friends is quite reminiscent of the Movielife's This Time Next Year. This is quite understandable when one realizes that one of the members of Taking Back Sunday used to be in the Movielife. Unfortunately, although there are a few variations, the ability of Taking Back Sunday to sound so blatantly like their fellow Long Island comrades is almost their undoing. Vocally, Taking Back Sunday sound very close to the Canterbury Effect, while musically there are times where they're a bit more rockin' than the Movielife in that they have cultivated punk, hardcore, emo, and pop and hybridized it better. It's quite upbeat and very danceable, thus making it fun and interesting. Yet at the same time it's nowhere near to being original or creative. Perhaps within their genre they're creative, but for the most part, bands like Taking Back Sunday seem to be all too common in an age of acts like the Movielife, A New Found Glory, and other hardcore/pop-punk acts. A reviewer

It took awhile after purchasing, but I really fell in love with this CD. All the angst and all the heartbreak really defines my high school (and somewhat my current) years. It's been almost four years since I bought it, and I still can't stop listening. Their other albums do not even come close to measuring up to this one, so if you are looking for an amazing TBS album or just an album that speaks to you, this is the one to get.

The Best Band In the World

Taking Back Sunday is the best band ever and my personal Favorite. And 'Tell All Your Friends' is by far the best of thier two albums, Adam Lazzara (lead vocals) shines on nearly every song. His Energetic voice powered by the talents of the rest of the band, lull you into a 'music high'. Songs like 'Cute without the 'e'' and 'Timberwolves in new jersey' will instantly have you addicted, but i cant only give credit to those two songs, everyone song is charged with a sort of "Taking Back Sunday charm" that you will fall in love with and play over and over again. And if you cant get this cd, go to a store where you can listen to it. I promise its worth it.
