You could buy this book, or you could go down to the bus depot and ask people for interview anecdotes. You would come away with the same sense of confusion, and would have a far better story to tell. The book has one basic premise: Be a good story teller!, but does not lay out a clear methodology for achieving such an aim. It is (in large) a re-hash of much better books concerning behavorial interviewing techniques, and while (too) extensive in anecdotes, it doesn't clearly illustrate the underlying concepts required for success. Buying "How to win friends and influence people" or some other manual on relationship and people influence will likely get you much further. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Tell Me About Yourself helped me get a job in these hard times.
It helped me make my interviews personal and unique. Very clear and very helpful. I highly recommend this book.
