Overview

Edgar Allan Poe's stories are some of the most fascinating in the canon of American literature. Such classics as "The Tell-Tale Heart" are taught in schools all over the country and are loved by readers for the insight he offers into the paranoid mind. More than that, Poe's intricate detail of the protagonist's thought patterns make even the most insane-seeming character - truly a murderer - somehow relatable to the reader, even if those of us on the sane side would never consider such an act. Poe stands among the best of American storytellers. He is widely known to be the inventor of the detective fiction genre, and is one of the earliest writers of short stories.

The book I chose was the Tell Tale Heart; it is a creepy mind boggling story that makes you think and wonder why. The characters are the narrator and he is the helper of the old man. There is one thing that the narrator hates about the old man and it is his eye. The book I chose was the Tell Tale Heart; it is a creepy mind boggling story that makes you think and wonder why. The characters are the narrator and he is the helper of the old man. There is one thing that the narrator hates about the old man and it is his eye. I suggest that you should read the book because it teaches you a little about how sometimes people are in life. I would advise you to read the book slow so you can get all of the main point¿s f the novel because some parts don¿t make any since. It is a great novel that I think many people will like especially if you like horror and mystery books. If you like dramatic stories that are suspenseful you will really like this book. Mainly it is about an old man and his caretaker, the caretaker loves him dearly and hates him at the same time and that is what makes the book so weird Overall this book was a good book to me. I would recommend this book for grades 6-8 and adults. To me this was a 5 star book, and I like this type of writing.

I didn't like this book. It gave my friends AIDS. It also gave my dog anger issues. Thank you for that. I always wanted a friend with AIDS.
