WORST. JOB. EVER.

Kate O'Hara can't wait until this temp assignment is over. The woman who hired her is a psychotic pageant queen, her coworkers are convicts-turned-clerks, and it's so boringly corporate it makes her skin crawl. Even her sexy-as-sin boss, famed billionaire Thomas Kestrel, isn't enticement enough to keep her there. Once she makes enough to pay off her bills, she's out. Or so she thinks...

WHAT THE HELL?

Next thing she knows, she's accidentally signed over her soul. Literally. And she's discovered Thomas's real mission: to kill thirteen bad guys in one year, in order to get his—now his and Kate’s—souls back.

 IT'S NOT JUST A JOB. IT'S A MISADVENTURE.

From learning to boost the morale of some paper-pushing demons to navigating her way through blood-red tape, Kate has to work closely with her super-hot supervisor and get her flaky act together, before somebody clocks her out—permanently!

Kate O¿Hara dreads working for a soulless corporation like Fiend

Kate O’Hara dreads working for a soulless corporation like Fiendish (located in their brand new building nicknamed…Hell), but having to move back in with your parents after losing your job makes a girl rather desperate. When Kate sets out to prove herself to her Angry Birds obsessed manager, she catches the eye of Fiendish owner, Thomas Kestrel.

Thomas has got himself into quite the predicament. He’s sold his soul, but not just to get ahead in the corporate world (and you’ll get no more out of me on exactly why) In order to get it back he has to kill off thirteen other signed souls in order to have a shot at his contract holder. But the identities of those thirteen are buried in reams of demon contracts and when Kate stumbles upon the demons in the basement going through the contracts then all hell breaks loose.

Temping is Hell is my first Cathy Yardley book, but it certainly won’t be the last! Full of snark and pop culture references, Temping is Hell is a fun, fast read. Yardley has created complex characters that haven’t always made the right decisions but are determined to do the right thing. Sparks a-plenty fly between Kate and Thomas and their relationship smolders away for a good portion of the book finally we get some serious heat.

There are plenty of questions to still be answered including why does Kate seem to have an immunity to the side effects of reading demon contracts, will demon Slim get another assignment that will allow him to work with Kate again and the biggie…will Thomas and Kate be able to save their souls? I can’t wait to see where the Necessary Evil series takes them next!
