Purpose: The purpose is to provide updated information on differential diagnostic and management techniques in the care of patients with TMD. The book stresses the use of a multidisciplinary approach and discusses the various avenues of management for TMDs. This is an important updated version of TMD management, and the book largely meets its overall objective.

There are multiple contributors who are credible in their respective areas and whose backgrounds reflect the multidisciplinary approach necessary for treatment of TMDs.
Features: Numerous helpful illustrations are provided in this new edition, particularly in the chapters dealing with physical therapy management. Updated exercises for the temporomandibular joint and cervical spine are included as well as pictures of an actual joint taken during arthroscopic surgery.
Assessment: This is a very useful book for students or practitioners who are interested in the management of TMDs. The new edition includes up-to-date information on all aspects of the care of patients with TMD, including diagnostic tests, physical therapy and dental treatment, surgical and other medical management of the TMD and cervical spine. This new edition is necessary because knowledge of TMD has increased since the publication of the first edition. It will be helpful in increasing the knowledge of those who are involved in treating patients with TMDs.
