Cruel Intentions meets The Vampire Diaries in this sexy packaging of a classic vampire series from bestselling author R.L. Stine.

In this collection of three fan-favorite stories, the vampires of Sandy Hollow crave the summer months. Summer means plenty of beach tourists…and plenty of fresh blood after months of deprivation. Temptations is full of page turners an unexpected ending. This quote explains the dramatic changes in character, when a girl named April becomes a vampire and sneaks up on her boyfriend Matt “Why should Jessica have all the nectar? I was saving you for me!”(204).Matt was then, by surprise killed. This changed my whole perspective on the book and the characters. I definitely recommend this to people who like vampire books.
The author, R.L Stine was trying point out that not everyone is trust worthy. This quote is Ben, a vampire, explaining why he helped kill the other vampires, when he was one himself “To pay back the vampires to pay them back for turning me into one” (386). Diana a girl who helped him kill the vampires was in shock, she hated all vampires and wanted to kill Ben, but it was too late he already sank his fangs into her throat. Ben started out being a good guy and then the book turns him around.
I think that this book was very interesting; others think it wasn’t as good as it looked. It gave me a new perspective on vampires, in the begging of the book I hated them, but then at the end you realize most of them don’t actually want to kill humans, but it the only way they can survive. I loved how their where three stories all leading up to one ending. I did not like the ending, it could have been better, it didn’t fit in with the rest of the book.Overall, it was a decent book.
