Overview

Business? Meet pleasure…

The Renaldis, Book 1

Paige Stewart has committed the ultimate nanny sin—she’s fallen in love with her boss. She adores Matteo Renaldi’s sweet, precocious son. Who wouldn’t? But it’s torture going about her day-to-day tasks, catching fleeting glimpses of the boy’s enigmatic father. Chastising herself for fantasizing she’s in the Renaldi master bed…

It’s ridiculous, pointless. After all, soon little Matty won’t need her anymore and she’ll move on.

Matteo has no interest in dating. He’s consumed by work, his son…and his son’s nanny. She’s everything he’s not: young, carefree, trusting, maybe a little naïve. She deserves better than an embittered widower. Yet when she accidentally falls into his arms, he can’t resist drawing her in for a kiss that quickly spirals out of control.

As they travel to his family’s home in Italy and slowly fall in love, the whispers start. And when one particularly ugly story blows up in their faces, their reputations might escape unscathed, but their hearts may not…

Warning: The sexy, grumpy Italian hero is finally won over by his son’s sweetly beautiful nanny—though it was quite the challenge for her to catch him. Watch for lots of high drama, passionate love and malicious rumors before these two can find their HEA.

I wanted to like this book because I liked the free teaser "

I wanted to like this book because I liked the free teaser "Temporary Arrangement." --Great marketing ploy. However, I was disappointed in both the writing and the editing. The plot was a pretty common trope. I was okay with that, but the characterization made it impossible for me to like the heroine, in particular. She's shallow and doesn't really seem to grow at all through the story.  About the only thing that created tension for me was seeing just how many awkwardly worded sentences would appear due to the overzealous elimination of words ending in "ly". Just because I do understand that it's possible for an author to have a less than wonderful book, I would be willing to try another book by this author. I must say, though, I regret having spent my money on this book.

Karen Erickson has given us a wonderful start to her new series.

Karen Erickson has given us a wonderful start to her new series. The Rinaldis are a volatile family who fight for what they want. Paige is the nanny for Matty who lost his mother. She loves her small charge as if he were her own. She knows that you never mix business and pleasure but she is drawn to Matty's handsome, brooding father, Matteo Rinaldis, as he is to her. What follows is a sexy, wild ride as these two vulnerable people discover that rules are made to be broken. Add to the mix Matteo's distrustful brothers, a vengeful woman and her leacherous husband and you have high drama. Can these lovers' work through the pain and misunderstanding to find a HEA? What a wonderful summer escape. I can't wait for the next story. This family is addictive.

Not bad, just not overly good

The character development of Paige, which began well in the prequel novella got off track early in this book. Her behavior didn't mesh with the previous portrayal or the personality attributed to her.

Successful, powerful businessman and widower Matteo Renaldi had

Successful, powerful businessman and widower Matteo Renaldi had a bad marriage that left him with a bad taste for romance.  His wife died and left him with his precious son.  Now Matteo is on his own and needs a nanny to help him take care of Matty.  Paige Stewart is that nanny.  She was fired from her last position when her employer made unwanted advances toward her and was busted by his wife. She considers this job a lifesaver.  But now she finds herself falling for Matteo.  Matteo is entranced by his sons nanny but he is older and her employer.  She deserves someone who can love her and he has sworn off that particular emotion except with regards to his son.  Can Paige bring Matteo’s frozen heart back to life?
We met Paige, Matty and Matteo in the free prequel Temporary Arrangement.  This Cinderella story has some sexy twists and turns.  There were times I wanted to Gibbs slap both Paige and Matteo. His brothers too.  But by the time they get to their HEA I was laughing with glee.  Can’t wait to find out what is going on with Rafael and Vince.

This is the continued story of Paige and Matteo.  It starts in I

This is the continued story of Paige and Matteo.  It starts in Italy where Matteo shows Paige how much he truly wants her and then back to New York.  Everything is going great until Paige's ex-employer sees a picture of her and Matteo at a gala.  This ex-employer decides to publicly smear Paige's reputation, making Matteo question if the gossip is true or not.

Karen Erickson writes an amazing contemporary romance!  The Renaldi's is a fantastic series.  Little Matty is as cute as they come and his sexy Italian father is pretty amazing too.  The sense of family is heartwarming.  The connection between Paige and Matteo smolders from the beginning.  I can't wait to read the next book in fantastic this series.

    ABSO FREAKIN LUTELY AWESOME!

I loved, loved, loved this book. Only 153 pages is not enough. I wanted so much more of Mattaeo, Paige and Matty. This story was so sweet and even intence at times. The chemistry, sexual and otherwise between Mattaeo & Paige is off the charts. Mattaeo is so freakin hot. Alpha but not too much. When he finally realizes he in love with Paige. The pages start to really heat up. I highly recommend this story to everyone. I hope we get to read more about the Renaldi family.

Okay, Matteo and Paige finally have a HEA, but things were a lit

Okay, Matteo and Paige finally have a HEA, but things were a little difficult for these two. I loved Paige and she made a huge difference in Matteo life, especially taking care of little Matty, but I did not liked the way his family, especially his brothers treated her as a simply golddiger. One dinner was extremaly difficult. I loved their relationship and how much Matteo oppened his heart for this new love.

I think these two made a cute couple and I was dreading the end, but things became more difficult in the end and they barely managed, but Matteo was so honest and almost perfect in saying sorry. Loved this family and will hunt the previous series now.

    Ok

This book was ok. I read the sample/prequel and I wanted to know the rest of the story. It was okay, but not as good as I thought it would be. I found myself bored at points.
