Loved this book and I read it in one sitting. The chemistry between the main characters Estrella and Ranier is smoking hot. I wish it could have been a longer story but it was really good all the same. I look forward to reading more books from this author in the future.

A Great Shifter read by Katie Reus Estrella is a jaguar shifter

A Great Shifter read by Katie Reus

Estrella is a jaguar shifter who lived as a human and never remembered much about her past or who she was.

Rainer is a powerful wolf shifter and part of the Alabama Pack.

When Estrella goes to help her best friend Sabrina at her first professional art show she notices a very sexy man with piercing green eyes that seems to be following her.
Rainer wants to know why a lone cat shifter is in his territory unannounced but most of all he and his wolf want to know THIS cat shifter.

Rainer attraction to Estrella is instant and in one split moment Estrella realise he is like her the sexy man she is attracted to is a shifter. Estrella needs to get away the only shifters she has ever known were a few wolf shifters in college and her experience wasn't good. Rainer is shocked when he realises Estrella does not know about territory and pack rules when he asks her why she is in Alabama unannounced.

Before long Estrella will come to realise her whole world is about to be turned upside down. She is being chased by Vampires and her only ally seems to be a wolf that has come to her rescue. Can Estrella trust Rainer to help and protect her or will it all prove to be too much.

This maybe a short story but it has everything a great book needs passion, conflict, possessiveness and love.

Be sure to buy Tempting the Jaguar by Katie Reus find out why Estrella doesn't know about her past why Vampires are trying to capture her and what is this undeniable connections she has with the sexy wolf shifter Rainer.

    more from this reviewer

I was eager to read this book just from the cover alone but then

I was eager to read this book just from the cover alone but then add in the jaguar shifter aspect and I knew I had to get my hands on it. I had no trouble sinking my teeth into this story. The author did not make you wait long for the romance or action. The moment Rainer eyes found Estrella you knew the chemistry between the two would be off the charts.

This book can be read as a standalone; however, if you have read Destined Mate and Protector's Mate you will recognize some references to the characters from these books. I am loving this (I am hesitant to call it series because each book can be read as a standalone) series. Tempting The Jaguar is a short story but fully packed with action and hot chemistry. I found myself staying up into the wee hours of the night just because I could not stop reading. I am definitely looking forward to the next book.

Katie Reus writes some awesome stories with shifters. My only co

Katie Reus writes some awesome stories with shifters. My only complaint with her Cravings books is that they are all too short! As long as you go in knowing the books are short and not full length novels, you will enjoy them.

In this story, we find Rainer, a werewolf shifter who is sent to find out why Estrella, a jaguar shifter is on Rainer's Alpha's land without making herself known. Well, she is packless and knows nothing about pack life so she wasn't even aware she was supposed to make herself known. Estrella has been living in the human world for her entire life so when Rainer shows up and demands answers, she is caught off guard and is defensive.

Then on a typical drive home from work, Estrella is almost attacked by vampires but luckily Rainer is there to save her. From there the story unfolds with Estrella and Rainer trying to figure out why the vampires are after her and what will come of their relationship. They are drawn to one another on such a primal level they can't fight it. Of course, you also get Katie's fabulous writing that makes it easy to read the entire book in one sitting and not ever have to put it down!

If you are looking for a quick, steamy read with hot shifters, I highly recommend you try Tempting the Jaguar!
