From the best-selling series Thieves' World(r) come the stories

From the best-selling series Thieves' World(r) come the stories of Tempus and his Sacred Band of Stepsons, written by Janet Morris and Chris Morris, featuring Nikodemos, Tempus' right-side partner. Niko is a western-trained fighter and a Bandaran-trained warrior-priest with abilities he has learned through study with the Bandaran adepts. This book explores Niko's journey through his trials and tribulations as he matures into the amazing fighter revered by the paired fighters of the Sacred Band of Stepsons. Read these stories again in this author's cut of the first Sacred Band of Stepsons: Sacred Band Tales 1 from the mists of history and feel your heart beat faster and ache as you become immersed in this ancient world of mages, witches, gods and their avatars, goddesses and their offspring, and the adventures of the Sacred Band of Stepsons.

From their very beginnings, all the earliest the adventures of The Sacred Band of Stepsons

Tempus (with his right-side companion Niko) contains all the iconic early stories of The Sacred Band of Stepsons in Sanctuary, and more. Hard to find stories like "An End to Dreaming," and much-anthologized stories like "A Man and His God," are here, as well as material available nowhere else. The book is told from Niko's perspective as he undergoes advanced training on Bandara, and wonderful glimpses of the Misty Isles are here as well. The author calls this republication "the author's cut," and it contains 4500 more words than the original mass market paperback. These stories of the legendary Tempus and his Stepsons in Sanctuary make a perfect companion book to The Sacred Band (Morris & Morriss, 2010). Most highly recommended.
