Not that funny for a book that is supposed to be

The good news about 'Tennis Shorts' is that there are a few fairly funny quotes in it. The bad news is that the vast majority of quotes are not funny. An example: Bjorn Borg, not exactly a comedian, says, 'My life really operates in two separate sections-- tennis and all the other stuff.' Another example: Ivan Lendl says, 'It's going to take time to get it back. But I've plenty of time to prpactice, seeing as I seem to be working only one day a week recently.' Maybe it would help if more of the quotes had some context with them to explain what they're about. Humor is generally a tough area to succeed in. And quotes don't have to be funny to be interesting.

funny, laugh out loud, tennis book

This is a great book. If you are looking for the lighter side of tennis, then this is the book for you. It has some of the funniest qoutes from the tennis stars we have all grown to love. I definately reccomend this.
