A continuation of the first book (the Celestine Prophecy) with an added dimension to the spiritual awakening: the after life. As well as delving into the complexities of the tenth insight: remembering the birth vision, overcoming the fear, taking responsibility to the future of humankind, environmental consciousness, promoting the eventual world vision. This time the adventure takes you to the Native American landscape in Southwestern U.S. The author does not exclusively promote one religion as previously introduced in the prior book, but instead considers them all: Muslim, Jewish, Christianity, Eastern beliefs. While ingeniously intermingling science. And just like the prior, this book also breaks down the barriers set up by society/religion/environmental/cultural factors imposed on us since birth, sheds light on the purpose of our true selves and opens the portal to the realization of our fullest potential.

'The Celestine Prophecy' written about ten years ago had a profound effect on my spiritual understanding. Since then I have looked at relationships and energy dynamics in a whole new way. 'The Tenth Insight' deepened my insights by allowing me to understand how many of the world's problems can be solved with new spiritual vision. Lately I had been looking for current inspiration in a book that written in a tradition similar to James Redfield. I found it in 'Nexus: A Neo Novel.' 'The Celestine Prophecy' and 'The Tenth Insight' uncovered trends for a new age and crystallized them into a vision. That vision is carried on today in 'Nexus' through the journey of people to a spiritual retreat. All of these books together show that we are reaching a greater awareness.

I really enjoyed reading this book. The idea of the concept of the Fear, Birth Visions, and the World Vision, were very detailed and enlightening. I have to say that by reading this sequel, it has brought the Insights together as a whole, and has empowered me to be able to raise my sense of spirituality. Now that I am aware, I will be able to see these Insights in more perspective and will be able to notice all of my life's coincidences. Also, I think I am more able to live in more synchronicity with all happening events.

I absolutely loved this book! I finished reading Redfield's previous work, The Celestine Prophecy, and jumped right into this one. Beautiful transition between the two. I'm sure those who waited after The Celestine Prophecy was released until The Tenth Insight's release were anxious and ready for more 'insights' from Redfield. I was lucky enough to discover it's writing after a recommendation from my girlfriend. (Thanks by the way...) I loved how the book dove right into the mysteries of the tenth insight and how each character was introduced. Visualization is key in reading this book. I found myself pausing between paragraphs trying to connect with the feelings and emotions that were portrayed. This book gave me much more respect for my whole world, the environment, and to those around me. If anything, I learned that everyone is special in their own way, not just for the sake of pleasing others but to help the world. I have a deeper understanding of relationships w/ people and of how we are all related by much more than flesh and bone. This spirituality within all of us needs this 'awakening' that Redfield speaks of. I highly recommend this book to anyone with questions of life, love, and our ultimate purpose for being. This book would have received 5 stars if not for the same problem that plagued The Celestine Prophecy, the lengthy dialogue that slows down the pace of the story. It might be helpful and clear for other people but to me, it kind of detracted. Other than that, this book is a great read with loads of answers to questions that might be hidden in the back of your mind.

I enjoyed the Crelestine Prophesy but found parts of this just too detailed into the past visions of the evolution of society. I was glazing over and pretty much forced myself to finish it. The first book i could almost find believable but this one got so far fetched i lost interest.
