So, this is my second Terminator book (First being Terminator: Cold War). In my opinion Zahn had slightly stronger character developement and story telling. The book focued on the events immediately after the Salvation movie. The Kyle Reese focus of the story was brilliant. It shows what he is made of and alludes to his utter devotion to the resistance, resourcefulness, and cunning that I was so drawn to in the first Terminator movie. The other focus of the story was on Barnes and Williams from the movie. This part of the story was very engaging and gritty. The way Zahn portrayed these two were just plain cool. One thing that i think fell short (compared to cold war) in the story were portrayal of the T-700 and T-600's. They were tough but, they were not as deadly and ferocious as Cox's description. Overall this book was done very well and even though I was blown away by the great work in Cold War this book was the better.
