An atlas to the venomous snakes of Africa

Excellent photographs and colorful and informative maps make up the bulk of this book. Anyone with an interest in African animals or herpetology will want this book. When I say excellent photographs - not all met this standard - but most do. The relatively small amount of text in this book is in both English and German. Its 148 pages have photos and maps for 104 species of front fanged snakes and under each photo is the snake's name, its author, where the specimen came from, and its size, as well as a set of icons used to describe the animal's ecology, habitat, activity, reproduction, behavior, and diet. This book is an excellent, authoritative reference for school and reference libraries.
