Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Wendy Pollock-Gilson
Two year old twins color on the walls, sometimes make it to the toilet on time and engage in other typical toddler activities in this lift-the-flap book. Lulu and J.J. wear Dad out when Mom goes to work for the day. Minimal text such as "Oh, Oh Mama Doo, Doo" and oversize flaps make this a quick read for toddlers. It lacks the charm of the "Spot" series by Eric Hill and many other lift-the-flap books and despite being a hard back book, it would be short lived in a library collection. However, it could be used in a two year old story hour.
School Library Journal
PreS-Crayon-scribbled endpapers give readers an inkling of what's to come in this day in the life of energetic twin toddlers. Told entirely in dialogue consisting of double words or syllables, such as "No! No!," "Yum Yum," "Oh, Oh," and "Night Night Mama Papa," the story relates the activities of J.J. and Lulu. The appealing, colorful, 1950s retro artwork, done in airbrushed acrylic on paper, is similar to Daniel Kirk's work for Trash Trucks (Putnam, 1997). The sturdy-paged, lift-the-flap format works well for showing the before-and-after scenarios. An amusing look at an action-packed day.-Maryann H. A Great Book For Any Tot In Your Family.

This booked was picked up for my daughter when she was about a year old. Many books have been read to her but by far this is her favorite one. The Book is very is to follow and has fold down flaps for little suprises on every page. Ms. Gorton certainly did a wonderful job writing a book for children that would make them interested in reading.
