Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Meredith E. Kiger
Clever, rhyming text, and bold, cartoon-like illustrations enliven this book which describes various kinds of trains and related accessories. Richard Scary-type animals add interest to the action packed descriptions of various kinds of trains in motion. There's a short glossary of pictures at the end of the book with train parts used throughout the story. The well-chosen vocabulary will soon have your preschooler "reading" along with you.

4 year old Peter Max the Engineer checked this book out of the library, insisted that it be read to him every day, several times a day. When the day came for the book to go back to the library, we set it on the table, ready to go return it and check out another. But it mysteriously disappeared. It seems Peter Max had objected to returning the beloved book, for we found it tucked safely under his pillow, guarded by his favorite stuffed doggy.
