Overview

Terri Woods worked hard to build her reputation as a cool and unapproachable woman following her traumatic past. To all who knew her, she was an ice princess, and she preferred it that way. The only one who knew the truth was her beloved son, Aaron, the child of a man who had trampled her soul.

Then Terri meets Aaron’s new teacher, and she begins to question her choices for the first time. Former pro-baseball player turned elementary school teacher, Brian Evans, exhibits warmth and generosity with such ease that she immediately mistrusts him. Refusing to give up, he is relentless in his pursuit, and the sparks fly. However, his ability to triumph after difficulties while retaining his spirit slowly earns Terri’s respect and weakens the walls around her heart. His adorable daughter only helps his cause by charming Terri and showing her Brian’s true colors.

But when young Avery faces a life-threatening challenge, Terri learns that she could be the only one who can save her. Fearing her growing feelings for the charming pair, but fearing the risk of failure more, she must decide: should she open her heart to Brian and Avery or continue to hold them at bay? Will Terri allow fear to hold her prisoner, or will she prove to everyone how brave she really is?

Once again, the power of family reigns when the Evans family pulls together to help Brian and Avery find love, health, and happiness.

Excellent book! Couldn't put it down.

This latest installment in the Evans' family series does not disappoint. Each one keeps getting better and better. In my opinion better than The Lucky One and Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks. A steal at 3.99. Worth every penny!

Terri¿s Gift is a novel that explores the age-old dynamic betwee

Terri’s Gift is a novel that explores the age-old dynamic between father/mother and child.  What does it mean to protect a child?  When is it right to leave that child, so that she will have better?  Collette Scott takes readers on an emotional journey in Terri’s gift, as she does all her novels.  This novel explores more of the relationship with other Evans family members, which I found very enjoyable.  Terri’s gift is as engaging as all of Collette Scott’s novels are; you simply cannot leave your emotions behind when diving into one of these dramatic romances.  The story is unforgettable, and a worthy read.
