    Lovecraftian LOL

Have fun with this mildly raunchy, entertainingly gross-out beach-horror romp that never takes itself too seriously. Four interlocking novellas feature teenagers at the Jersey shore, encountering horrors from the deep in the deliciously creepy resort town of Dagon Heights. In "Under the Boardwalk," we meet Aidan, Joanie and Jillian, and get our first taste of the fear that has lurked among the skee ball parlors and popcorn huts of Dagon Heights for generations. "The Off Season" introduces Hunter, the kind of testosterone-poisoned douchebag who's just begging to be consumed, body and soul, by a tentacled thing. "Madam Anushka's Summer Job" turns out to be more than just a lucrative con for rubes on the boardwalk, when fake-psychic Annie starts to get real supernatural flashes of what's happening to those who disappear beneath the pier every summer. And in "The Master's Bait," Aidan, Jillian and Joanie reappear to meet their dangerous, foul-smelling destiny. Kick back with your NOOK for a few hours and enjoy the four-part story, riddled with Cooper's trademark teen-male truthfulness and general smart-assery. And be grateful your next vacation will not be booked for Dagon Heights!
