More About This Book

Overview

Killer on the warpath. Monsters on the street. Vampires in the night. Zombies on the hunt. Welcome to Terror Town. The place where no one is safe. Nothing is sacred. All will die. All will suffer.

From the twisted mind of James Roy Daley, author of THE DEAD PARADE, INTO HELL, and 13 DROPS OF BLOOD, comes one of the most violently brutal stories ever told.

Terror Town isn't for the faint of heart. Adventure, fear, and mayhem await - delivered through an omnipresent viewpoint reminiscent of the early works of Stephen King and John Saul. Five stars!

~Matt Hults, author of Husk

Do you remember discovering Robert R. McCammon, or King's Carrie? Reading Terror Town you'll experience that same dark funhouse gravity. Spare but cinematic, the pace is crisp and moves well. Recommended!

Author, Simon McCaffery

This book is the most disturbing, graphic, and disgusting book I've read in my entire life, hands down. I've never come across a story that is as horrifyingly brutal than this. That being said, you MUST read it!

~Eliose J. Knapp, author of The Undead Situation

The scariest book I have ever read in my life.

~Cynthia Gould, High Heels Lo Fi

Twisted, unpredictable, and deliciously morbid, Terror Town has it all: horrifying creatures, vampires, zombies, and one of the best-written, sadomasochistic serial killers since 'Buffalo Bill.' Terror Town is the ultimate Scarefest!

~Lipstick Indie

    One sick, twisted, wild ride

This is what horror stories should be! Gory, sick, and twisted. Would've like a bit of backstory on the "bomb shelter" and maybe someone (anyone?) Survives the ordeal. But definitely a great read.

    Hardcore Horror!!

This books starts off creepy and it sucks you in. For serious horror fans only, I would think. This is the type of book that makes you cringe, but not because it's bad, but because the author has a way of making you feel like you are right there when things are happening, and there are a lot of things happening in this book. The villain in this book is extreme! I only wish that he had gotten what he deserved, however, I'm not even sure what that might be. You you love scary stuff, this book is for you.

    Gore,creatures and more gore!

    Gore Gore Gore!

    Mix of creature feature/slasher.

    Vampire/Zombie creatures.

    Action packed story

A bit confusing as to how the creatures and the slashers are related to each other.

Questions regards the the shelter in the basement unanswered.

Think it would have been better if it had focused on one area. Seemed like too many different things going on.

    Well written, descriptions are great.

Even with parts not fitting well together, still a great book.

Talented author who I do want to read more of.

    more from this reviewer

    What a ride!

I came into reading this book by referral from a friend on Twitter (thanks Paperbackhorror!). I didn't read the synopsis to know what menace was involved and found myself pleasantly pleased with more than one type of 'monster' in this book.

I had a lot of fun with the story and how it weaved the characters together and ultimately tore them apart.

I think the one thing that I had wished after finishing the book was that one character didn't get their deserved ending that I was hoping and waiting for (ok, so I thought he was DUE for some pretty violent revenge. Sue me). If you've read the book, you probably know who I'm talking about. I can see where James Roy Daley may have wanted to stray from what was "expected" as well. But I still wanted bloody satisfaction (*grin*) and felt a little bereft of it there. Other than that I enjoyed the book very much. A great, twisted, bloody mess of a tale- in a good way. Not for the faint of heart.

This was a really fun but violent book to read. If you don't have graphic horror "hang ups" in what you read, I think you will enjoy this book. Very entertaining.
