All He Wanted Was Enough Whiskey To Forget...

Ravaged by grief after a car crash took his cherished wife and unborn child, Chase Tyler had abandoned his family business. He'd hit the rodeo circuit and the bars with equal disregard for his life, unwilling to face his pain and move on—until a bad-tempered bull and a lady from the past forced him to...

All She Wanted Was His Love...

Marcie Johns had known Chase all her life, had been driving the car when it crashed and his wife was killed. She still wondered if Chase blamed her for his loss. But she was willing to gamble her pride and happiness to give the man she'd adored since childhood something to live for. When she offered Chase a brazen proposition to save his company, he was shocked by her plan—and he hated himself for being tempted by the fire smoldering in her gorgeous eyes! Could a once-shy bookworm seduce the rugged cowboy of her dreams into letting her love heal his heart?

I loved this book! Loved the whole series! Would recommend you read Texas! Lucky first. Than Texas! Chase and finally Texas! Sage. I love Sandra Brown, she is such a good story teller! Love, sex, suspense, the characters are well developed. Have recommended all 3 books to friends and my niece. Have re-read all 3 books at least 3 times each. Have never been disappointed by one of her books yet! Thanks, Sandra for many hours of reading pleasure!

I love this book which is of a triology. Chase Tyler, is a guy we feel for when he looses everything and everyone close to him, but his stubbornness to reach out to others also make us want to hate him. When a woman from his past re-enters his life, who by the way was driving the car that killed his wife, the hate is on or is it love? She will do anything to save him and his company from going under including loving him, but will Chase take her up on the offer or will he drown in his self pity? You have to read it.

The family business is lacking badly and Marcie helps out the family by talking Chase into marring her and taking the money that she can give to them to help the business. This book shows how Chase handles the death of his wife and unborn child which we learn about in Texas! Lucky.  Chase is a mess and doesn't handle life well at all. He starts drinking way too much, whoring and goes back on the rodeo circuit even though he is too old for it now. He has a very serious accident at a rodeo but when nobody in his family is there to attend to him, an old friend, Marcie, goes to him and stays with him at the hospital. I loved the twist with Chase's business, Marcie and Chase. I felt horrible for Chase after his loss and didn't want to read an entire book about how devastated he was.  However, when I told my thoughts on this to someone who had already read Texas! Chase, she said "Well you'll just have to read it to find out what happens." She was so right.  I can only repeat her words, you'll just have to read this.

What an emotional story.  Brown had my heart in my throat throughout.  Her character and scene development places you not only in this story, but in the centre of this family.  Each event draws you further and further in.  I appreciated how the prologue set the scene, giving you a glimpse into what had happened without dwelling on it.  Brown’s eloquent descriptions meld with her fantastic storytelling to create a romance that will really make you believe. This is definitely a character driven tale.  Every event is directly correlated to someone, and their reactions are what drive the story forward.   His refusal to move forward combined with her refusal to give up leads them on a journey that kept me on my toes.   The narrator really made this novel for me.  As much as I enjoyed the story itself, it was really one of those ‘can’t put it down’ novels, the narrator’s intonation and snark made it unforgettable.   As a whole this was a very enjoyable read.  It can easily be read as  a standalone or as part of the series.  I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others, nor can I wait to read the next in the series.

I did not think I would like it as much as I do. Sandra, I will read more of your titles, I did not realize we're almost neighbors. You Go Girl. Good Story. When you let your self really get into the story, you can't get out. I love a good Texas story, there needs to be more about our Texas drama written down.

sandra brown has a real feel for romance novels. this is part of a series of three, involving two brothers and a sister. after losing his wife he decides never to marry again. enter the girl that has worshipped him forever, and fallen in love with him. how she convinces him he can feel again and marry makes this a very eartfelt romance!

A good story, with a lot of complex emotions. The book kept a nice pace and elements were continuously added to the story keeping it interesting.

I love Sandra Brown, but prefer her more recent work that seems to have a little more drama and plot. However this book is still a good read for the beach, a rainy day or a quick escape. The plot is fairly predictable as most romances are, but as always, Brown manages to introduce a few twists that surprised me a little. The characters are well developed and will leave you wanting to read the rest of the Texas! series so be sure to pick them all up at once to save multiple trips to the bookstore. Overall a good pick, however I don't care too much for the cover artwork.

I love the Tyler's! Chase's story deals with life altering heartbreak and loss, real life hardships, struggling to pull himself through it and so on and so on....don't want to ruin it for anyone. The story kept a good pace and although it dealt with a lot of "raw" emotions it wasn't dark or depressing. As with the other books in this series it is well written and well balanced.
