Overview

In 1976, the most infamous murder happened in Texas history in Ft. Worth. Priscilla Davis was living in a 19,000 square-foot mansion she had shared with her now-estranged husband, Cullen Davis. She had filed for divorce in 1974 and was purposefully dragging it out. On August 3, 1976, a "man in black" murdered two people and shot two, including Priscilla. Priscilla's current boyfriend was murdered and her young daughter from a previous marriage was, too. Priscilla said it was Cullen. For the next three years, two trials commenced which cleared Cullen of all charges and by 1979 Cullen and Priscilla were finally divorced. Cullen married his girlfriend who was his alibi on that fateful night and Priscilla moved to Dallas with a 3.4 million dollar divorce settlement. One movie and three books have been created about the criminal aspects of this story but not so much about Priscilla's life afterwards.
This book focuses on Priscilla's life before and after the murders. She moves to Dallas in 1981 and becomes the face of Dallas glamour in the 1980's. The Texas media couldn't get enough of her but many Texas people had formed their own opinions. Her flashy lifestyle rubbed some the wrong way but the fact that Cullen probably got away with murder didn't help his persona either. Before the decade would end, Priscilla would loose more court battles and most of her money.
Many unexpected situations occur including her meeting a young gay man named Greg Brown in 1995. He is 26 and Priscilla is 54 when Greg moves in with her and they become lovers. This story chronicles their life and the dramatic and humorous situations that occur. Unfortunately, Priscilla's life will be cut short and Greg's life will almost be destroyed. But the love the two shared will never die.
