Meet the Author

Lorraine Heath wrote her first story at seven, and it involved a fisherman who fell in love with a mermaid. She has since moved on to writing about sexy cowboys and dashing English lords (and sometimes, cleverly, in the same book!). Publishers Weekly says she is a "master of her craft." She is, indeed, and along with being a New York Times and USA Today bestseller, she has won the RITA® Award, Romantic Times Reviewer's Choice Award, and a Career Achievement Award.

I have not read the book as of yet (wish-listed it...) however the synopsis listed above for this book is actually a book called Devil's Diamond by Constance Laux after some research for those who were curious.

Overview is not at all what he book is about.............................................................
The book is about a man who is building and empire and decides he needs a son to leave it to. Since women are scarce in his part of Texas---- so sight unseen he trades water rights with a neighboring rancher for the right to marry his daughter. Cordelia who has been sheltered all of her life is terrified but has no choice in the matter. To his credit he realizes after they are married that she may not have wanted to be part of his breeding program. The story is not just about him courting her though. Its also about evil, murder and personal growth. Highly recommended!

    Great romantic western.

This fantastic romantic western series continues with Dallas and Cordelia's story. I didn't love it as much as the first book, but it was still great! I enjoyed revisiting with Houston and Amelia from the first book as well as the younger brother Austin. Rawley's character is a heartwarming addition to the series. My favorite part of the book was watching Cordelia's character find herself. Great book.

    Just Discovered these fantastic trilogys

Just read these wonderful three books this year. I have never read any Texas romances before but really enjoyed them. Have loaned them to all my friends, and they also enjoyed them. Cannot wait to read one of her new books.
