One of the best romance novel I've ever read.

This a well written piece of literature. I love to read romance novels, but rarely I find one that grabs me like this one grabed me this time. It is definitely a page turner. You cannot wait to read what happens next. The characters are complex and rich. The scenery is beautiful. I recomend it.

    A Must Read!

I have really enjoyed reading the Whispering Mountain Series of Jodi Thomas. Texas Princess was not a disappointment. She pulls you in with the characters of Libby and Tobin and continues to write about previous characters and introduces new characters. I can hardly wait to read #3!!

    Hot Hot Hot Hot

Tobin and Liberty sizzled. I loved how he couldn't keep his hands off of her! The book was a non stop read. It was romantic, sweet, funny and just plain sizzle.

Queen of Texas Romance does it again ...

With 'Texas Princess,' the second novel in the fasci¬nating Whispering Mountain trilogy, NY Times and USA Today best-selling author Jodi Thomas once again lives up to her reputation as one of the romance genre's most compelling western historical writers. Tobin McMurray has hated being around people since he was ambushed, while helping to defend his family's land, at the age of six. Only because of his love of hors¬es does he agree to leave Whispering Mountain to deliver a very special stallion to one of the richest men in Texas. Upon his arrival, he collides with Liberty Mayfield, the nearest thing to Texas royalty. He's fascinated by her then shocked when her father asks him to kidnap his only daughter. Alone and on the run from death threats, strong, quiet Tobin and pampered, headstrong Liberty discover they need one another - both to stay alive and to feel alive as passion ignites.

    terrific Thomas Texas tale

In 1855 although he would have preferred not to accept the job, Whispering Mountain Ranch horse breeder Tobin McMurray knows the fee is too good to pass up so he agrees to deliver a horse to Liberty Mayfield, daughter of a senator. He also to his chagrin accepted the stipulation that he teach Liberty to ride the steed. ---- Upon arriving at the Mayfield spread, Tobin is shocked to find his student avoiding her cold-blooded demanding fiancé Captain Samuel Buchanan in the barn from her. As he teaches her to ride, he also in his quiet way shows her how to be strong. When someone tries to assassinate her father, Tobin helps Liberty escape. As the reticent rancher and the fearful female head to the safety of his grandfather's Apache tribe, they fall in love. However, Buchanan is coming for her with help because he wants to control the Mayfield fortune. ---- Texas historical romance readers will cherish the latest winner from Jodi Thomas due to the lead couple as each has people issues. The fast-paced story line never misses a beat once Tobin and Liberty meet. Although Buchanan is too brutal to be in the running for the caring Liberty, this is a terrific Thomas Texas tale. ---- Harriet Klausner

    wowza! what a romance!

this continuing saga of the mcmurray clan tells the story of tobin. tobin goes to senator mayfield's home to deliver a horse, (mcmurray's are known for their superb horses), and ends up 'kidnapping' the senator's daughter as he requested when trouble hits the senator. the captain she was supposed to marry beats her the night before the wedding so she is anxious to escape. tobin takes her to the mcmurray ranch where she will be safe. this is another of jodi thomas' action packed romances. it does not disappoint!

Highly recommended, Whispering Mountain is a great series.

Jodi Thomas has become my favorite author. I so enjoy the story of the McMurray's; their love for each other, their land, and the horses they raise and of courser their women. You find yourself really caring about these characters and you keep reading hoping they'll be alright. It's hard to put done. I keep wanting to know what's going to happen next.
    On to Teagan's story.

    Love this series

This was even better than the first book. The stories are so touching. If you are all about the s_x you might not like it as much, but the chemistry makes up for it, and the plots are finally original.
