About the Author

William Dylan Powell is a Houston-based writer specialised in all things Texas. A regular contributor to the Houston Chronicle, he is a member of the Houston Writers League, the Houston Press Club, and the Houston chapter of the Association of Authors and Publishers. He has also written about wider Texas and is the author of the original Austin Then and Now® (2006) and Texas Then and Now® (2013).


William Dylan Powell writes about all things Texas. He is the author of 13 books including the original Austin Then and Now® (2006) and Texas Then and Now® (2013). Along the way he has lived in Tyler, Abilene, Lubbock, the DFW area, Pleasanton, Corpus Christ (twice) and Victoria (twice). He currently resides on the west side of Houston with his wife, Stephanie; his dog, Bertie; and his cat, Minou, who frankly doesn't seem that fond of him.
