Him

James had plans for his life. Those plans were derailed by the surprise arrival of his daughter. His life revolved around her. Then she arrived with her beautiful brown hair that was made to wrap around his wrist, and a butt that was to die for in a tight pair of jeans. Nevertheless, he didn't need any more drama in his life. His ex-girlfriend was stirring enough of that up for ten women. Yet, there was something about her that soothed his soul.

Her

Shiloh's made it her life's mission to protect the innocent children she can from the big, bad, scary things that lurk in the darkness. She has an inane curiosity for life and craves knowledge. Which is why when she starts poking around in her father's business, she inadvertently starts something in to motion that threatens her very existence. Her father, the one man that was always supposed to be there for her, drops her off with a brother she never knew she had and leaves. Making her question the father she obviously never really knew at all. Then she meets him, and she doesn't think her life's so bad after all. The sexy biker turned SWAT officer sets her nerve cells to igniting, and she relishes in every single second of it.

Him

He knew life could change in an instant. One soul crushing instant.

When he's presented with the aspect of losing Shiloh before he's ever even had her, he decides it's time to grab life by the handlebars and ride it like he stole it. Then that threat not only touches his woman, but his daughter. And there's no power on God's green earth that can protect them from a father's wrath.

This series I have to say is the best I have read in a really, really long time. Thanks for the laughs and the cries.

I've been reading all the books in the series and although there are too many car crashes, I've enjoyed them. However, the font on this and the previous book is giant and won't change. Never had a similar issue with other books. I read very quickly, so it's extremely irritating.

I read the book only because I paid for it. The storyline was all over the place. if she could have just stuck with two characters and told the story it would have been much better. but the storyline would go in one direction stopped abruptly and then backtrack somewhere that had nothing to do with anything. every time I got excited that something was about to happen she didn't tell the story. For instance there was an issue with the daughter going to the moms house but then you didn't tell us what happened. Then the dad made some announcement but you didn't tell us what it was and that happened over and over again. They caught the mom sneaking into the house but whatever happened you have no idea because it just ended and went a completely different direction... It could have been so much better if you just gave us one story line with some debts. I understand it's part of a series but even a series should allow the book to be read as a stand-alone. You would vaguely refer to other characters as if I should know what happened and then change the subject . I was very disappointed because I had read the hook up and the friend zone wherethere was a depth to the characters and the involved story from beginning to end so this has to be an amazing auther. and then this is what I get. I'm sorry that you can't return an ebook when the story isn't worth the money.

This whole series has been amazing. I absolutely loved Shiloh, what an awesome strong woman. I cried like a baby while reading the epilogue, happy tears though. Sad that the Free series is over but looking forward to the MC series that has Sam & Shiloh's brother Sabation and father are in. Also can't wait for the SWAT guys to have their books. Great series!! :)

For those that follow my reviews regularly, I’m sure you’ve noticed that I have read and reviewed all of the books in this series and I’ve had nothing but good things to say about them. Well, this time is no different. I felt drawn to the characters from the very beginning and the action packed story line had me on the edge of my seat. James and Shiloh were attracted to each other for quite a while but each had other issues to deal with in their lives. When they finally come together, it’s a nice gradual building of a relationship but also an intense one. I could easily see how these to clicked with each other. And more importantly, how well Shiloh got along with Janie (James’ daughter). They of course have their ups and down (especially with misunderstandings and miscommunications in the beginning) but it’s obvious that it’s building up to something fantastic. I loved both of their personalities. James is protective, sweet, and caring but also all male sexiness and an ex-sniper. Shiloh has been put through hell in her life and doesn’t trust easily but as she slowly opens up to the whole group, her feisty personality comes out. She’s fiercely protective of those she cares about, and has a serious backbone. The story line was action packed and full of emotion. The characters not only get put through several ordeals, but the whole group learns new info that puts a whole new perspective on things. The story flowed really well and I easily devoured this book in an evening. If you haven’t read this series, I highly suggest picking them up. 5 out of 5 stars!

I was fortunate enough to get my hands on all 5 books in this series and was able to read them in order, which I recommend, nonstop.    I declared the week I got my hands on these Lani Lynn Vale week and it ended up being one of the best reading weeks I have had in quite a while. James is a character that I liked from the beginning of this series and was thrilled to be able to get to know him better by learning his story.    Even though he is a tough military man who has a hard time showing his tender side, I was able to see and fall in love with both sides of him numerous times throughout Texas Tornado.       His relationship with his daughter, Janie, is absolutely amazing.   The way he protects her but yet lets her be her own person makes him even more attractive to me.  Then lets add Shiloh to his life and he is almost perfect.    He is protective, yet understanding that Shiloh has to have her own life and make her own decisions.   Somehow, he manages to show her how to make the decisions that keep her safe and keep her in his life. By the end of this book I was so sad to be at the end.  I absolutely loved the ending, it was the best of the entire series.    I absolutely recommend this entire series and Texas Tornado to anyone looking for a hot, steamy book with amazing Alpha Males.
