Meet the Author

In his winding river of a life Mike made many interesting stops along the way to becoming a relationship expert. At 18 he worked on the oil platforms in Long Beach as an underwater welder. In a move to impress the family, he went back to college in premed. Later he finished college with a degree from UC Davis in Nutritional Biochemistry with a minor in Exercise Physiology. Once Mike realized that he had to go to either Med school or get a job he did the most logical thing he could. He ran away to Japan for 7 years.

"Never never land" Japan captured Mike's heart. He worked as a kindergarten teacher and a minister (don't ask). There he lived a perpetual 24-year-old's lifestyle. Determined to never grow up didn't quite work out and he found himself back in the US to publish a book he wrote on weight loss. After this failed utterly, Mike started his blog and finally learned how to write. Now Mike churns out books and bums around Asia, pretty much what he has always wanted to do.

Mike became a relationship expert strangely enough from his experience as a fitness/life coach. To Mike's surprise all his experience helping people achieve a better existence translated directly to having exceptional relationships. That was many years ago, and now with a ridiculous amount of dating experience and hundreds of thousands of words on his blog helping others, Mike is now truly an expert, something that no formal education can match.

    Too many dates!

    OMG, I have been using your book and I literally have 5 guys texting me at all times and I go for days without reply on some because I just don't have the time to keep up. Every time I drop one guy, I pick up 2 more and I never put all of my eggs in one basket anymore. My dating life has gone from zero to off the scale because I am a challenge. I got a movie and dinner AND breakfast out of a guy the other day who had ignored me for months. My sisters swear by your methods too and we talk about you at the dinner table....."What would MM do?"     Amazing work Mike!

    Mike is called the Master Dater for a reason; he's truly THE Dating Guru! Text Appeal For Girls give a humorous look inside the male mind in a concise, interesting manner. Like many others, I too read the book in one sitting, I just couldn't put it down. I have put some of his tips to use as well and so far things are going well, with one guy in particular! Some people might feel his methods don't work for them, which they might not if you're applying them wrong. However, if you read and reread the book, at least you'll understand the reason why you've stopped hearing from that guy and you might even start subtly incorporating Mike's suggestions into your dating repertoire. I truly recommend this book if you're a dater and a texter, so basically, that would be to anyone in North America! Good job Mike!

    Two days and already a drastic improvement!!!!

    Okay, so first - I recently experience a divorce. Getting back into the dating world seemed quite daunting, but I dove in anyway. No guts, so glory, right? Problem is, I didn't know how to swim!!! The result? I quickly started drowning into terrible 'relationship' after terrible 'relationship.'

    I am an intelligent, beautiful young woman with a stable career that I love. I am confident and independent. I thought that was enough to make guys come flocking! And they did... till about a week into it. I thought that if they liked me and I liked them, that total bare-bones honesty was fine!!! (I was also guilty of textaholic behavior. Ooops!)

    I never understood why they would get into a relationship with me, adore me... why everything would seem perfect and then they'd abruptly pull away and disappear. I didn't understand why, with all my other qualities, I was sometimes perceived as a certain type of conquest... and not the sort that ends in a relationship. Apparently, I was misinterpreted as clingy, needy, weak and lacking self-respect. BUT I HAD NO IDEA WHY!!!

    That's where TEXTAPPEAL came in. I read it all in one sitting. It's conversational and funny and soooo unbelievably informative. It's not just a book of 'do this and do that' but really explains why... in a common sense way, humorous way! It was light bulb after light bulb going off while I devoured the book.

    I discovered answers to questions I didn't even know I needed to ask.

    Within two days, I finally had the skill-sets to cut off a really bad long-distance relationship. I also got the courage to set strict boundaries with a guy who continually went past my comfort zone concerning 'inappropriate' texts. And without even intending to, just by following some of the things outlined in the book, I even grabbed the attention of a hot coworker!!! It's been an amazing, unbelievable turn around!!

    BUY IT. READ IT. TRY IT FOR YOURSELF.

    FYI: I have never written a review before, but I felt strongly enough about this book to get online and take the initiative to share my opinion. :)

    fun and insightful

    this book is a fun easy read. it is very insightful and helpful in the way that mike shows you how you have to be fun and teasing to keep the boys attention, and on their toes. if you are struggling, pick this up! worth the six bucks.

    who cares really?

    This book is only to get u in a hot mess then if u get more than one guy to like u ur in truble cuz wat if thy all asked proposal and u said yes? Well u dont wanns brake their hart but u r maried to likd three or five guys. Watya gona do grl? I meancthis book will match u up with a stranger and ruin ur life.
