Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Rosa Roberts
In the “Ready to Read” series, emergent readers will practice reading, vocabulary, and fluency with the simplistic sentences and words found throughout the colorful pages. This particular title is based on the “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood” program from PBS Kids, so it will be familiar to most young children. Children in this story take the time to say thank you across the neighborhood. After all, saying thank you is a way of showing we care. Daniel Tiger and his friends have a Thank You tree where all the thank you notes are hung. All of the thank you notes on the tree thank all the various friends for specific things they have done. This beginner book will make a great read aloud or independent practice for the novice reader. The illustrations are the same as those in the children’s PBS program, so young readers will instantly recognize Daniel Tiger and his neighborhood friends. Reviewer: Rosa Roberts; Ages 3 to 5.
