Oh the years have passed since I was first given this book by my grandparents, who held the beautiful Quail in high esteem, as well as beautiful Cape Cod. Such a tale is told about beautiful Robert, from how this beautiful little creature comes to be part of a human family, to the many talents Robert possessed, both human and bird-like. If you have a child who is especially 'tuned in' to wildlife, I highly recommend this charming tale. I still have my battered copy in my library, and smile each time I thumb through the yellowed pages.

Just loved this story. Enough so that I'm ordering a copy for each of my sisters.

A beautifully written, true account of a quail that became part of a very kind and patient family that allowed this quail to be comfortable and exhibit an amazing amount of intelligence and feeling!

"That Quail, Robert" is a superb story, beautifully written and sensitively evoked, about a social and affectionate little bird and the people who love her. I recommend it most highly.

This book is...INCREDABLE! It's amazing! It shows that sometimes, even when it has never been done, it can truly be done and turn into something remarkable! This book is great of ANY age and is a TRUE story that will change the way you think about miracles!
